Is this a mouse or a shrew

They are v bold. Think nothing of running around the living room even with 4 kids running around.

Shrew I'd say. How small is it? Shrews are only about 4 cm long (the ones I've seen).
I also think that mice and shrews are the same colour.

It's a shrew! We have them too!! They are super brave here as well and run around the house, which is amazing as we have two terriers!!

This one is bigger than the others. I’ve seen about 4 different ones. Sometimes they come out at the same time.

Shrews are protected. Are they nesting indoors or coming in from outside. Maybe a local wildlife centre can help but I bet they are pretty quick.

Shrew. I'm surprised it's indoors tbh. We used to have lots of bests in my mums garden, and they never came inside, even though my mum liked having doors open all day for fresh air (ok not all day in winter time but definately longer than comfortable!)

It's definitely a shrew. We get them occasionally because we have a stream in the garden. They don't generally like being indoors because they have to eat their own body weight in bugs etc every day to survive. They don't usually last long indoors....
But they can be feisty little buggers when cornered. Presumably why Shakespeare wrote a play about them.

Shrew, we have them too, ours mainly live under the floor (under or floorboards is a small void then just soil). Ours come up through the gaps in the floorboards, some of the bigger gaps I have filled with wire wool which seems to deter the little buggers.

As one who’s in possession of a long nose as well, that’s 100% totally a shrew.
