Anyone with an M&S Sparks card who has previously moaned that it's crap and pointless should check the app as people are getting free vouchers for £5, 10 or even £20 with no minimum spend, plus other freebies like Percy Pigs and tote bags, valid until the end of August.

I got a £20 and a £5 voucher. I think it might be dependent on how many Sparks points you had, I had about 60000, but didn't spend a huge amount in M&S, maybe £1-200 per year in clothes and £30 or so a month in the food hall.

Thanks for the reminder I’ve just checked & I’ve got £50 to spend.

Fluffycloudland77 Mon 13-Jul-20 08:48:43

I had £5 so I bought a pasta dish for £1 and a free tote bag.

WhamRap Mon 13-Jul-20 09:04:06

😓 £5 off if I spend over £5 and a free tote bag if I go in store.

Areyouactuallyseriousrightnow Mon 13-Jul-20 09:24:51

Wow don’t even know how to check but I’m gona find out! Thanks!

I got £10 off clothes and beauty. Got a lovely chambray linen shirt for £9! £27.50 full price, 30% off linen, then the aforementioned £10 off with Sparks.

Spikeypineapples Mon 13-Jul-20 11:43:43

Thanks op. I got a free bag and £10 if I spend £10 which is OK.

Ponddering Mon 13-Jul-20 11:58:19

Wow, years of scanning and building points and I get... £5.

Fluffycloudland77 Mon 13-Jul-20 12:40:34

It’s so arbitrary isn’t it? My £5 was on dhs “tame” account that I never use online or in store. My account that gets used had a tote bag.

Wow, £5 off an over £5 spend and a tote bag in store only. Which is useful as I'm not out shopping yet.

Not even a packet of Percy Pigs hmm

A few days ago at an outlet I got a lovely denim dress, linen shorts and 2 cotton t shirts for £18.25. They had all substantially reduced from first ticket price and then , at the till, they were all half of the last marked price. So dress £39 marked down to £14 and I paid £7 was amazed. The I got a free jute shopping bag as well. Very pleased.

£5 off, but I need the App and it refuses to download onto my phone.

Not exactly making it easy for us to use the new system are they hmm

Batfinklestein Mon 13-Jul-20 16:38:07

I don't see what was wrong with the old system.
I found it easy to check emails and pick the offers. And the offers were pretty good, often 20% off clothing, beauty and homewear.
I'd rather have that than a bag of bloody percy pigs!
I used to use the offers to buy nice home and beauty stuff for gifts -and for myself-

It also seems to be more complicated now to use the app, which will alienate some of their older customers. My Mum is in her early 70's and didn't 'get' the old system where you had to choose the sparks offers you want to use and load them. If she now has to use an app there is zero chance of her doing it.

Having said that, I picked up a free jute bag with my shopping this week and just got £10 off some beauty stuff which was already a well priced set.

£5 off and a shopping bag 😡 ffs! I’ve spent a fortune there. I don’t get it, was it random?

SansaClegane Mon 13-Jul-20 17:51:02

I've only got a bloody bag confused no thank you !

twointhemorning Mon 13-Jul-20 17:56:39

I got a free bag when I shopped in the Foodhall on Sunday and if I download the app £25 to spend. I shop there a lot for food. I'm also a Premium Club member. Only problem is the app won't download on my phone...

Mrsmchammer Mon 13-Jul-20 18:03:47

10quid off in home and clothes if I spend a 10er. Free jute bag if I can find one. Free coffee but none of their cafes near me are open and 10% off chicken.... I don't really eat meat 😂😂
