What colour is the inside of your front door?

I have inherited a crappy old uPVC brown front door.

I painted the outside of it (and the crappy gold hardware) - it looks great.

The inside though is still crappy brown with gold hardware. I can’t paint it the same colour as the outside as it won’t go with the hallway colour.

What colour is the inside of your front door? I’m wondering whether black would be too dark

Black doesn't sound like a good idea. Indigo blue maybe?

Inside of where I'm staying is just white.

You want darker colours?

The hall is grey (MN crime, I know)... so trying to match that... since it’s already a mahogany (yuck) I figured black wouldn’t be much different...

But yeah... it would be a risk.

White. In my last house the outside of the door was dark brown, but was painted white on the inside.

What are your internal doors? I’d paint it the same as them.

Light grey? In which case I'd just paint inside of door dark grey and be done with it.

White would work though!

Dark grey inside and out, painted it myself from the original white UPVC

Well, I’m completely impatient so have popped a coat of white primer on it. I’ll see what that looks like, then If it’s not right, I’ll go dark grey

Our internal doors are white and we have a lot of white wood panelling in our hall too, so it’ll either look great or awful!

Yay! I think white is far easiest

Ours is oak, so a lightish brown.

Just had to check mine - the outside is red but I couldn't have sworn 100% it was red or white inside until I looked! It's white. And has been for the last ten years Grin

Black outside and white inside to keep the hallway lighter. Internal doors also white with same glass design as on outside door (took ages to find but well worth it)

Iv got a upvc door too with stupid bloody gold too!

Outside is painted dark blue, inside is white.

Goes with any decoration and any carpet colour but it does show up the dirt so if you don't mind wiping it down occasionally that would be my advice because it can stay even when you change the hall eventually.

Coloured front door and white interior.

Its predecessor was UPVC mahogany and it was so dark in the hallway. White made such a difference.
