Gifts for 3 year old boys

It's my nephews birthday next week and I have no idea what to get! He will be 3. Since I don't really want to go and browse the shops, I am absolutely stumped with what to get him. Any ideas what a 3 year old would enjoy without breaking the bank, that I can get online? Parents usually just say get him anything! Which doesn't help Grin

My little one at that age loved Imaginext. Its plastic and batman/Joker stuff but he plays with it most days (now nearly 6).

This is his favourite - you get a base, vehicle and figure.

DS had just started to like toy cars at that age, hot wheels and the like.

My 3 year old boy loves his tool kit and builders hat (from Smyths), anything to do with Spider-Man (dressing up outfit, books, figures, pyjamas etc) and his toy cars. Water painting books, particularly those by Galt were a favourite birthday present!

A baby doll and pram were popular with mine and are still used 4 yrs later.
Books and puzzles have always been liked by both my kids.

Almost anything by Melisa and Doug but especially their wooden pizzas. Brio trains are nice or jelly cat teddy’s.

I absolutely love the Wicked Uncle website, they have some lovely things on there and we always get nice feedback. I get almost all friends and families children's toys on there now.

I’ve just ordered Ultra Dash for a 3yo boy. It says age 6 but my children play with it just fine.

It’s an electronic baton that connects with coloured pods and the child has to run to the correct colour and put the baton in the pod. Can play with it inside or out. There are different challenges set within the baton.

Forgot to say that it’s currently £16 on amazon.

My son is 3 and in love with cars. Hot wheels specifically. He pretty much plays with these all day but other things he likes are doctors set, tool kit, gardening set, he also has a marble run set which was surprisingly popular! All available on Amazon!

My son is vehicle mad. He doesn't care what vehicle it is lol.

Playmobil is great.

Playdoh and books.

Sometimes you have a house full of toys so it's nice to get things like a money box?

Duplo is always good.

Dressing up?

PJ's and dressing gown and slippers.

Wow toys are also good.

My son just turned three. He loves Marvel Superhero figures (can get from Amazon). Gets loads of play out of Children’s Hub magnetic tiles (again Amazon). Play doh goes down well. Schleich animals - esp if you get him something cool like the ice spider and ice wolf...

My son is 3 in a fortnight.

Gifts he has coming from other people ( i.e not the budget busters me and his dad have bought)

  • A motorised garbage truck from Argos (he is obsessed by bin lorries!)

-Several digger/dumper truck sets of Duplo to add to his collection

  • playdough concrete mixer

-kinetic sand set (with monster truck stadium)

  • blaze and the monster truck dvd

  • 5 soft play passed to our local soft play (whenever it may open!!)

I highly rate Smyth's toy store and Argos.

Would parents be offended by a voucher? His great nana always gives an Argos voucher and it's put to good use every time! X

Thanks so much all, fab suggestions!
And the voucher to fall back on! Don't think they'd mind at all Smile
