Apparently the police have been getting calls saying their neighbour is off for a 2nd run and should be arrested.

Another one stating someone might be off for a drive.

So what would your neighbours do?

Mine? Fuck all. The one on the left had a little garden party yesterday and the one on the right had his kids and grandkids over for lunch a couple of days back.

Hopefully my neighbours would see we are doing our best with 5 dc at home +4 ddogs. Dpuppy has been out this morning for half an hour with me. Other ddogs and dc will be out later. I saw 3 couples out and 3 ddogs. At tea time our place has zero walkers..
Ds went for his one trip out earlier for a run. Saw 1 couple..

I have one neighbour who would definitely report me. She once told my dh I'd had a "gentleman caller". It had been my dad. I haven't spoken to her since.

I can think of 3 who might. 2 because they don't like me walking me my cat and the 3rd because she's that kind of person. 🤷🏼‍♀️

My neighbours would have no idea, nor do I of their movements. I can’t see anyone’s front door (houses spread out) and rural.

Yes I think the neighbours on one side would. They reported us years ago to the RSPCA for leaving our cat while we went on holiday. I don’t know how they missed the fact that I was paying my friend to decorate a room for us so she was here with her dc every day we were away.

And I don’t know how they missed the fact that we paid one of ds’s friends (who, not that it matters but ...) is a vicar’s son, to come in twice a day to feed the cat.

Lots of other stuff too but I don’t want to take over mn with tales of my nasty neighbours!

One over the road would. She works for the council and she's an officious wee shit. She complains about bins being left out until gone 5 when people are at work. She works, but has her old Dad come bring hers in.

My across the road neighbour would, she’s a massive cow and would jump at the opportunity. No one else would.
We’re not UK though, we are on a stricter lockdown and I have to fill in a form for the government every time I go outside my house. No idea what they do with all the forms, but I bet there’s no shortage of loo paper in the government offices!!

One of my neighbours has already been round to tell me she’s going to report me as I’m going out far too often

We have horses, we have to go to them twice a day - we have a rota at our yard ensuring there’s only 1 family in a barn at a time, lots of hand washing facilities and keeping 2 metres apart and we’re all being very careful.

I've found the rule breakers tend not to have older, or more vulnerable family members @Teakind, so they don't mind if their rule breaking kills a few more.

@Teakind I believe I have made an accurate assessment of risk in doing what I am doing. It’s NOT going to increase anyone else’s risk. I understand the rules should be followed for the greater good, but i am making an individualised choice here for the immediate good of those closest to me.

@Teakind thank goodness everyone isn’t as judgemental as you. I am confident my choices are not increasing anyone else’s risk so I will continue to bend the rules while I can. If people in the UK could be trusted to make critically assessed decisions and act in the way that minimised their own personal risks we wouldn’t have had to get to this point. I understand that the rules are there for the greater good, but that doesn’t mean they are specifically right for my set up. Just like some people will not be increasing any risks in having two exercise sessions in a day, but others would. I would support those in the former instance to exercise twice...

One of my neighbors would. Probably the same neighbor who put a rude note through our door a matter of days after we'd moved in. It concerned a skip full of crap the previous owners had left behind in front of our garage.
We'd already had to spend time contacting the skip company and then getting the estate agent to contact the previous owners to collect the rubbish the skip company left behind as it was over full. We had to get rid of it ourselves in the end.
So yes, that neighbor probably is sat looking out of a window with a notebook and pen at the ready to make sure Bob and his dog don't take too many walks.
Shame they never saw who smashed my car window.

My cat has three legs due to car accident, do walk him around back garden, sometimes front but not brave enough to venture out our garden.
