And the little things that made you happy today are…

For me, this morning, I open my window, put on some music, set the table, and had a little tiny buffet breakfast with what I have… It’s not much, just some cereal and water, since I don’t have milk… Some juice, my coffee, a slice of cheese, salami, and yogurt… I don’t have much food so I’m trying to stay full. And I thought, breakfast is the most important meal of the day right? Anyway, what’s yours?

In a right bad mood today (day 13 of self isolation, not that a lot will change but it'll be nice to get out for a walk at least)
Small things that have slightly helped me be a smidge less grumpy are free Headspace subscription for NHS workers, I got Spotify premium set up and my Asda shopping finally successfully went through online. My kids are putting on all different dressing up costumes which is quite funny too.

Sunshine streaming through the windows, hearing birdsong outside, wearing my pretty pyjamas, gown and fluffy slippers, plus big earrings. My cup of Nescafé cappuccino (from a sachet). Talking to my daughters and hearing their bright voices, in the knowledge that they both are safe and well, as far as we know.

I've just finished my last treatment for my breast cancer. The sun is shining and the birds are tweeting.

Took dpuppy out in an attempt to calm her down. Just made homemade veg soup with veg given by a local pub that has closed it's doors - ds's place of work - he is jobless like many.

I have spent an hour sitting in the garden in a deckchair in the sun with a glass of prosecco and my book. Yes it’s a little chilly but I feel the most relaxed I have in a while now.

Taught my youngest(and only one at home as others are grown up) to play scrabble. We had a ball......and were eating dh's homemade soup.
Now he's using bananagrams to make the names of our extended family in a scramble fashion on the floor.....family matters

My dd taking a nap next to me in my bed. She's a teenager-this feels therapeutic for us both

Digging in the soil and making dens in the sunshine with our little class of key worker children at work today. I don’t have a garden so it was even nicer. Lovely to do the parts of teaching I enjoy the most but rarely get to do!

Carrie I am glad your cat is better. That does worry me - having to go to the vet's in this climate.

A bird sat on my washing line and sang a song this morning while I was cleaning. Was lovely.

This is such a lovely thread. Big congratulations on finishing your treatment pandora. Must be a great feeling.
Mine have been chatting to little DGD on the phone and hearing her chirpy voice. Making some tomato, pepper and carrot soup which has come out really well due to online substitution of Napolini tinned tomatoes instead of my usual own brand type.
Sitting out on my balcony. It was so hot in the sun I had to dig out some sun cream

This one's a bit ridiculous but I was walking to the pharmacy to pick up my prescriptions (exercise AND essentialWink) and I saw something black in the gutter up ahead, it looked like a dead bird and I was gutted.

Imagine my delight when I got up close and it was just a black poo bag tied in a knot.

I swear, it really cheered me up. Grin
