Is this a veiled dig at trailer parks?

I could have done it when I was younger but I've got too much stuff now. We're contemplating a small caravan for holidays though.

They tend to be American

I have a camper van I could easily live in when there's light evenings and the weathers nice. Wouldn't fancy it in the winter.

Is this a veiled dig at trailer parks I don't think so, Google 'tiny houses' they are quite cute.

I'd love to give it a go if it was a high spec, green home.

Trailers are often huge anyway

Yes but I’d need outside space

No. Fuck that. I need space for all my shit.

I fantasize about living in one and I follow a couple of people on You Tube who do. When I was having work done on my house I lived in my 8 foot x 10 foot front room for 3 weeks and it was very doable. I also like watching studio homes and small space tours on You Tube to get storage ideas.

no, too close to DH and need space for stuff

Only if I could live alone, with only myself to tidy up after. I'd bloody love it though. Especially if it had a bit of outside space for entertaining.

so long as I could have a storage unit Grin what I don't get is where they put their books or clothes - especially the ones who have dc (toys???)

I love watching shows in tiny houses but I dint think I could ever live in one. I'm far too untidy.

Yes, you can buy land in Scotland and live in one without planning for a year, I’d def be up for that, there are some flat packed houses with log fires etc

Yes it's the secret dream. Me and OH would need one each though. I've slowly been decluttering our house to the point we have a whole empty room at the moment and I love it. Hate 'stuff'

On my own? Yes, easily. With dh and dc? Not a chance!

ProfYaffle · 20/02/2020 16:21

You'd think the Moose People would need more space.

This is my dream when DC have grown and left. There are converted garage bungalows in my town just outside London. I'd love one of those.

As a student, yes, less to clean. Now, with ds, no.

On my own- yes- and I may very well do that when DC are grown. But not with Dc and dogs and cats. They have too much shit.

I could have lived on one of those 'tinyhouses' in the past, and dh and I lived in a fairly small studio apartment for years.

However, with a family, I think I need more space to breathe, especially in the winter.

As I spend quite a lot of my time in hotel rooms I would say I could, BUT where would I put the grand piano if that was my only abode?
