You know that you see in you tube
Like sheds/caravans

Moose people do it for a certain amount of time

Is this a veiled dig at trailer parks?

CaptainMyCaptain Thu 20-Feb-20 15:59:40

I could have done it when I was younger but I've got too much stuff now. We're contemplating a small caravan for holidays though.

Lardlizard Thu 20-Feb-20 16:00:51

They tend to be American

Is this a veiled dig at trailer parks I don't think so, Google 'tiny houses' they are quite cute.

I have a camper van I could easily live in when there's light evenings and the weathers nice. Wouldn't fancy it in the winter.

Lardlizard Thu 20-Feb-20 16:01:14

Haven why does it need to be a dig fgs

Lardlizard Thu 20-Feb-20 16:01:27

Trailers are often huge anyway

SciFiScream Thu 20-Feb-20 16:01:26

I'd love to give it a go if it was a high spec, green home.

5zeds Thu 20-Feb-20 16:02:31

Yes but I’d need outside space

EuroMillionsWinner Thu 20-Feb-20 16:03:00

No. Fuck that. I need space for all my shit.

fourquenelles Thu 20-Feb-20 16:04:31

I fantasize about living in one and I follow a couple of people on You Tube who do. When I was having work done on my house I lived in my 8 foot x 10 foot front room for 3 weeks and it was very doable. I also like watching studio homes and small space tours on You Tube to get storage ideas.

simonisnotme Thu 20-Feb-20 16:04:59

no, too close to DH and need space for stuff

MairzyDoats Thu 20-Feb-20 16:05:14

Only if I could live alone, with only myself to tidy up after. I'd bloody love it though. Especially if it had a bit of outside space for entertaining.

mumwon Thu 20-Feb-20 16:11:44

so long as I could have a storage unit grin what I don't get is where they put their books or clothes - especially the ones who have dc (toys???)

INeedToGetHealthy Thu 20-Feb-20 16:12:51

I love watching shows in tiny houses but I dint think I could ever live in one. I'm far too untidy.

Yes, you can buy land in Scotland and live in one without planning for a year, I’d def be up for that, there are some flat packed houses with log fires etc

Allmyfavouritepeople Thu 20-Feb-20 16:17:19

Yes it's the secret dream. Me and OH would need one each though. I've slowly been decluttering our house to the point we have a whole empty room at the moment and I love it. Hate 'stuff'

TwoZeroTwoZero Thu 20-Feb-20 16:20:18

On my own? Yes, easily. With dh and dc? Not a chance!

ProfYaffle Thu 20-Feb-20 16:21:40

You'd think the Moose People would need more space.

OneRingToRuleThemAll Thu 20-Feb-20 16:23:26

This is my dream when DC have grown and left. There are converted garage bungalows in my town just outside London. I'd love one of those.

Mintjulia Thu 20-Feb-20 16:24:10

As a student, yes, less to clean. Now, with ds, no.

JuanSheetIsPlenty Thu 20-Feb-20 16:26:45

On my own- yes- and I may very well do that when DC are grown. But not with Dc and dogs and cats. They have too much shit. <ignoring the facts that I’m the one that acquired all of them grin>

Caspianberg Thu 20-Feb-20 16:27:11

I could have lived on one of those 'tinyhouses' in the past, and dh and I lived in a fairly small studio apartment for years.

However, with a family, I think I need more space to breathe, especially in the winter.
