The boy done good - Valentine appreciation thread!

Last year my boyfriend and I had only been dating a few weeks, & couldn't spend the day together.

This year he's made me a personalised photo card with my all time favourite song lyrics printed in it, plus 12 red roses and a silly mug.

I think he might be a keeper.

Anyone else have a lovely Valentine?

Please can the VD haters keep away...I'm hoping to keep this a warm, fuzzy thread!

I had a box of maltesers. A big box, and some tulips. It might not sound all that romantic, but we’ve been married nearly 23 years, and don’t do Valentine’s Day generally.

Also we’re having a chinese for dinner and watching Toy Story 4 on sky cinema.

Your boyfriend sounds lovely and thoughtful. Definitely a keeper 💕💕.

Flower from both the offspring, obviously funded by DH and curry for dinner 👌🏻

He got these beauties delivered to me and purchased a pair of shoes I’ve been eyeing up for the past few weeks.🥰

I had my first Tinder date drive two hours to visit me in hospital (broke something and ended up in A&E for 48hrs) and turn up with a teddy some chocolate and a rose. My heart literally melted early days but he’s made when hell of a good start 🥰

We also have a very rare child-free evening planned. Annoyingly BF has a cold sore though.

Woke up to flowers and chocolate on the table and cake in the fridge. He doesn't usually bother with valentines so this is a massive surprise to me. He's currently doing bed time whilst I have a bath then we're going to eat beef stew and watch Netflix 🙌🏻

I received pink roses (which DH put into a vase for me to find) and they smell lovely! Just got to keep the cats away from them because they'll bite the heads off them given half a chance Grin I wasn't expecting anything more than a card so it was a nice surprise.

We're expecting a baby in August and he got em a bracelet that I've been looking at and got "peanut" (what were referring to baby as) and their star sign engraved on the bit against my skin.

Made me cry!

DH took me out yesterday shopping for my birthday presents and for a nice lunch and got me some new perfume ... none of it was for valentines though as he refuses to do it 😂😂😂

Valentine's day hasn't ever been a big deal to me but DH surprised me by booking the day off work and we went for an afternoon tea and a Louis Vuitton bag😊

Hope everyone had a lovely day x

@richele4 oooh which bag?! 🥰

I love this thread!

I got a box set from Jo Malone with a bath oil, body lotion and a candle in my wedding scent (we got married 2 years ago). Also got some posh chocolate, nice card and dinner at a Mediterranean restaurant I've wanted to try for a while ❤️

We had half a day in work. We dont make a big thing of valentines day but we had a nice card each and then went for lunch in a pub after work. No kids and no stress

I got flowers from a 6 year old & chocolate from a 4 year old in my class! Maybe all that work on ‘Heart Day’ cards & traditions this week was worth it! Grin

I wasn't expecting anything at all to be fair, it's a bit hit and miss sometimes whether I get anything or not. But I got a lovely card and a gift bag full of all my favourite treats, chocolate, biscuits etc. I'm pregnant and feeling pretty grumpy lately so this cheered me right up. Pushing my luck and trying and convince him that the baby needs a curry for tea 😁

Hes en route with a huge West Indian takeaway from the deepest depths of South London and Amazon just delivered 'The Frighteners' dvd. The child will be ushered into bed in 30mins. Yay! Happy Valentine's day all!
