healthy quick breakfast ideas

I have to lose weight, I am stuck on breakfast ideas. I cannot eat tree nuts, peanuts or bananas. I can batch cook and freeze, but have little time to make anything in the morning more than 10min. My list so far:

Scrambled egg on a slice of bread/toast
Toast with Marmite and an apple
Homemade baked beans, slice toast.
Porridge with fruit
Homemade ratatouille and 1 slice toast

Any other ideas I can put into the mix to give a bit of variety?

Well, that’s a week of breakfasts right there! On the rare occasions I have breakfast, I take two boiled eggs to work with me and that’s as far as my creativity goes.

If you’re trying to lose weight, you want high protein to fill you up so you aren’t tempted to snack. What about omelettes with different fillings? You can make them in five minutes or even the night before and microwave in the morning. Bowl of plain yogurt (I like the 5% fat Fage Greek-style) with fruit. Baked beans with a couple of poached eggs on top.

yogurt doesn't stick to the ribs. Eat your cereal, toast, porridge. Don't guzzle loads of berries which is the usual dumb-actress recommendation.

Baked oats - recipe is Pinch of Nom website. I make it in bulk, cook in silicone muffin trays and then usually about 3 little muffins (size of a fairy cake) is a portion. Can add all types of things to them in terms of fruit etc. Nice lots of carbs from oats and protein from the yogurt and eggs. They freeze brilliantly, so I bag them up into portions and just take out of freezer to defrost night before. I eat them on the train then! But you can also microwave for a few seconds so they're warm and eat with more yogurt and fruit if you want.

Varying by week, I batch cook things like a pile of mushrooms, halloumi slices, hard-boiled eggs, vat of porridge, fruit compote, etc. so I have options. Microwave a handful of cherry tomatoes (with a dash of chilli sauce), serve with half an avocado, hard-boiled egg and a slice of rye toast. Yum!

Ooh these all sound yummy, thank you! I know I have a start but I get bored easily with food 😅.

I eat Greek yoghurt (not Greek style, it's not as thick and has less protein) with blueberries and muesli pretty much every morning - I pop it in a small tupperware box and take to work with me to eat at my desk. Could you make your own muesli without nuts (or presumably it can be bought without nuts?).

Smashed avocado on toast with a poached egg is also popular here (sometimes with some grated cheese on top, but that's usually if I'm having it for lunch rather than breakfast, so want something a bit more substantial).

I have skipped breakfast just about all my life. I'm not convinced most people need it. If I do eat breakfast I have a much bigger appetite for the rest of the day. If I was trying to lose weight I would definitely just cut breakfast out.

@getupagain I was told by the dietitian/nutritionalist I was to have breakfast to get metabolism going, but I realise every one is different and that I had to eat more carbs (was doing a low GI/carb diet at the time).

Oh yes making own museli sounds interesting! Thanks

I'm really loving avocado on toast at the mo aware that sounds a totes MN Boden wearer thing to say Grin
Or how about making some breakfast muffins or mini quiche things the night before if you have enough time so you can just grab and go the next morning?
