What I had for dinner tonight was considered a proper meal growing up 😂 now I call it a council tea pmsl I had sausages, chips, beans and bread smothered in lurpak.. And yes before anyone asks I did dip it in the beans 😂

Lurpak sounds posh!

That sounds nice to me.

My weirdest dinner combo is baked beans and pasta. Sometimes with ham and cheese if I want to push the boat out. Husband refuses to try it.

What's weird about sausage, chips and beans with a bit of bread? Doesn't get much more mainstream!

I don't think that's weird? Seems a normal dinner to me?

Sometimes I do random carb combinations - tortellini with a burger in a bun. It's massively comforting.

I don't think it's weird at all but dh seems to think so 😂 he's having garlic & herb chicken with potatoes and veg... Maybe he's the weird one 😂

Used to eat things like that as a kid. I would never think to have that for dinner now. Sounds good though, maybe I should one day.

Wow. Tinned peaches are definitely a blast from the past.

Sausage chips and beans is not a weird combination at all!

I had a few very strange combo dinners in the run up to Christmas when I wa trying to empty freezer and fridge in preparation. I think the oddest one was scampi and mince with some salad. (I don't really recommend!)

I went freezer diving and just had sausage, baked beans, and quinoa rice. Epic.

Pasta beans and cheese is one of my autistic sons specials, he eats few foods so we're inventive with combinations.

Eh? Sosage, beans and chips is such a normal combination that there is a song called it (in Welsh). I’m a bit confused, a bit like asking whether fishfinger sandwiched are odd.

we do spinach and ricotta tortellini with ketchup to dip in place of a sauce.

Dh says it reminded him of days when his parents were skint haha May I add we are certainly not skint, I just really fancied this for dinner. Me and ds have had a right good feed tonight and dh hasn't even finished his... Argggggghhh I hate food waste

We couldn't afford Lurpak when I was a kid. Or anything as fancy as you've eaten! Tea would be two ingredients maximum...

Other than the Hmm name, I don't mind if as tea at all, although I'd give any form of peaches a miss!
