"Formerly Lord Byron's residence" Shock What!? I need it on that basis alone!

Wow - what would £850 buy you in London?!

The caves are interesting but the rest is a pretty bloody run of the mill refirb. Very souless.

The price is lower than I anticipated too!

I was thinking that Howls None of those rooms are human sized. Nothing warm, snug, comfortable. Just open it up, paint it pale and make it look bright!

I think I could manage to live there 😉

Quite a few properties in the centre of Nottingham are built around the caves.

I like the refurb. Looks like quality stuff and neutral. Just looking at some stats for the area - is it very studenty around there?

Those caves are fabulous. Imagine the parties you could have down there!

Looks amazing, but in reality what on earth do you do with the cave rooms?! Other than sink a lot of money into heating them if you want them as functional rooms

Wow I love that!

Right next to Nottingham Castle - its opposite. It's called The Park.
I've just sent the details to my OH.
We have been looking for 2 years - tad over the budget but, I WANT caves!!!!

I know that property well. It used to be student housing and is in the middle of an office area. Handy for town but not the place you'd buy with a family.

Report
kjhkj · 13/12/2019 13:32

It isn't in The Park at all pinky. It's on St James street just up from the hotel and the dodgy car park. Lovely if you want a lot of noise and drunks outside your house every night.

Report
userxx · 13/12/2019 13:34

I bet there has been some dodgy parties in that place.

Report
kjhkj · 13/12/2019 13:39

I actually can't believe anyone has spent that amount of money on it and hopes to sell it for that in that location as a single home. It should have been flats.

AhoyMrBeaver · 13/12/2019 13:39

I used to live in that street. It was indeed quite noisy and full of drunks, which is why I loved it Xmas Grin

Report
Pinkypie86 · 13/12/2019 13:41

Pretty sure it's still classed as The Park, have friends who live on the street behind.
I know where it is - the house is fab. If I could move it to another town a few miles away - I would :)

Report
AhoyMrBeaver · 13/12/2019 13:44

No, it's not The Park.

Report
Waterandlemonjuice · 13/12/2019 13:48

That is indeed a dodgy car park. I stayed in that St James hotel a while ago and was woken at 3am by a drunk or drugged man rampaging through the hotel. There was blood all over the walls the next morning. Nice house but the caves are pointless surely? Unless you want a wine cellar I suppose. So that’s £200k a bedroom which is surely steep for Nottingham?

Report
BentNeckLady · 13/12/2019 13:50

OMG the parties I could host in that house 😍

Report
Clymene · 13/12/2019 13:50

What a shame the return has ripped all the soul out of the place. It looks like a new build inside and I am sick to the back teeth of grey.

It looks like a bloody office

It would look amazing if you decorated it nicely but surely a bit steep for Nottingham? You can buy something incredible for the price out of town in that area. Although I suppose some people might like to be able to walk to work?

Report
ALemonyPea · 13/12/2019 13:52

My DC would love the caves. I'd never see them, Id buy it on that basis alone.
