ElizaStrawberry Sun 17-Nov-19 21:59:45

I was pregnant with our first with. I remember at that time throwing up into my bin while trying to hide pregnancy. grin

Savingforarainyday Sun 17-Nov-19 22:01:34

It's my friends birthday, I know where I lived... I remember talking to her on the phone

justgivemewine Sun 17-Nov-19 22:02:38

I have no idea, do I need an alibi 😆

SleepwalkingThroughLife Sun 17-Nov-19 22:03:26

Is that date significant?

whatnametopick Sun 17-Nov-19 22:04:05

Pizza express

MoiraRose Sun 17-Nov-19 22:04:06

Its the day after my birthday so probably nursing a hangover

mynameiscalypso Sun 17-Nov-19 22:04:07

I was in the Lower Sixth at the time but not sure what I would have been doing on a Saturday. Either homework or drinking in a park somewhere. I'm 100% sure that I didn't go to Pizza Express though.

Ohyesiam Sun 17-Nov-19 22:04:18

Not Pizza Hut.

leghairdontcare Sun 17-Nov-19 22:05:22

grin in school! Revising for my a-levels.

titchy Sun 17-Nov-19 22:05:20

Not sweating in Woking grin

VivaDixie Sun 17-Nov-19 22:05:36

I think that was the night some rich entitled guy asked me to take his daughter to Pizza Express as he had a party to go to 🤷 dunno.....

OhWellThatsJustGreat Sun 17-Nov-19 22:05:56

I was in year 5, not a clue what day of the week it was, but I can imagine I was at school?

RunningNinja79 Sun 17-Nov-19 22:06:58

I was in my final year at Uni, but I wasn't enjoying it so came home every weekend so probably at my cinema job.

I had to google the date to see what I was missing and couldn't find anything.

timestheybeachangin Sun 17-Nov-19 22:07:05

I was far away from Woking Pizza Express yer’ honour

ElizaStrawberry Sun 17-Nov-19 22:07:29

*VivaDixie" grin

Redcrayons Sun 17-Nov-19 22:07:50

Three months before I got married, so something wedding-y. Should have gone to Pizza Express.

Candle1000 Sun 17-Nov-19 22:08:04

Haven’t got the foggiest.

CatUnderTheStairs Sun 17-Nov-19 22:08:25

I’ve no idea but I don’t have bodyguards and a security detail who know where I am all the time.

TokyoSushi Sun 17-Nov-19 22:09:32

gringringrin

It was 10 data before my 21st birthday, I wasn't in pizza express in Woking and I certainly wasn't sweating!

vampirethriller Sun 17-Nov-19 22:09:41

Sixth form. At work if it was a weekend.

RaskolnikovsGarret Sun 17-Nov-19 22:09:55

In a restaurant with DH, as it was my birthday. First time we had gone out in the evening after having six week old DD, so think the meal only lasted 45 mins.

TokyoSushi Sun 17-Nov-19 22:10:10

**Days! 🙄

doritosdip Sun 17-Nov-19 22:11:13

I was pregnant with dc1 too. It was my due date and he arrived 18 days later so I must have just started maternity leave.

VanyaHargreeves Sun 17-Nov-19 22:11:45

I was in Yorkshire at university I assume. But certainly couldn't tell you any restaurant I frequented on any specific day that whole year.

BuildBuildings Sun 17-Nov-19 22:11:57

I was in 6th form but can't remember specifics

Nextphonewontbesamsung Sun 17-Nov-19 22:13:18

At home breastfeeding no doubt. My pfb was 2 months old.

TroysMammy Sun 17-Nov-19 22:14:00

Probably doing the housework, food shopping and cooking because my lazy work shy husband couldn't be arsed to do it when I worked full time. Two years later in March 2003 I would have been typing out my reasons for divorcing him for unreasonable behaviour.

Butterfly02 Sun 17-Nov-19 22:15:12

I'd been qualified 6 months if it was a weekend I would have been working - I was cheaper than those who'd been qualified a while and I didn't have kids so didn't need the weekend off!

missmapp Sun 17-Nov-19 22:17:00

I know where I was living /working so if I knew what day of the week it was I could hazard a guess. It was pre kids so I might even have been out !

longwayoff Sun 17-Nov-19 22:17:30

Pizza Express, Woking. There was a sweaty guy there wearing a crown 👑 and looking for the bar.

Redshoeblueshoe Sun 17-Nov-19 22:17:32

I'll check with my security detail and get back to you when we have found a really good answer.

StealthPolarBear Sun 17-Nov-19 22:18:59

I was at my first graduate job, at the other end of the country from my boyfriend. We were probably at chiquitos.

VictoriaBun Sun 17-Nov-19 22:22:29

No idea never been to Woking , can't remember how many Pizza Express I've been too , maybe 2 or 3

RitaMills Sun 17-Nov-19 22:24:05

I do not remember anything! 😬

StealthPolarBear Sun 17-Nov-19 22:25:23

We weren't that far from Woking actually

caranconnor Sun 17-Nov-19 22:28:02

Probably at work, but I could have had a day off. No idea.

NormanSmith Sun 17-Nov-19 22:29:45

I was visiting a place called Toadhall - I swear to God 😆

justgivemewine Sun 17-Nov-19 22:29:54

Definately nowhere near Woking pizza express. It wasn’t me guv.

VivaDixie Sun 17-Nov-19 22:30:24

@ElizaStrawberry 😉🤫

TheElfFellOffTheShelf Sun 17-Nov-19 22:30:27

It was a Saturday so I won't have been at university (I was in the 3rd year of my 4 year degree). I was 21 and it wasn't that long after my birthday. I'd been dumped by my "boyfriend" (I use that term loosely) so wouldn't have been out with him. I can't remember if I worked in the pub at that time or not. I was probably mooching around at home.

TheElfFellOffTheShelf Sun 17-Nov-19 22:31:41

I'd not ever been to a Pizza Express at that point though, despite being a student!

EL8888 Sun 17-Nov-19 22:33:52

Probably in Newcastle, where l was at university

dontalltalkatonce Sun 17-Nov-19 22:36:51

Probably getting stoned after work.

EndoplasmicReticulum Sun 17-Nov-19 22:38:48

Saturday evening? I'd have been at home marking books.

SellFridges Sun 17-Nov-19 22:40:16

At uni. It was a Saturday apparently so we probably went out. No birthdays in my circle that week so nothing special.

To be honest, I’m not all that surprised a Prince can specifically recall a trip to Pizza Express once he checked the date (which he clearly did). He’s not likely to have been a regular.

OhTheRoses Sun 17-Nov-19 22:40:46

No idea. Had a 7 and 3 year old. My father had acute myeloid leukaemia so it was a crap year.

Thinking more closely. At home. Think dd was getting over chicken pox and ds had just broken his ankle!

greenlynx Sun 17-Nov-19 22:40:59

At home, it’s nearly end of spring term so I probably was busy with work or even more likely was down with flu.
If someone saw me at Pizza Express, Woking - not guilty. It’s all lies!

XXcstatic Sun 17-Nov-19 22:45:12

Not sweating. I don't sweat since a massive adrenaline rush when I saw someone using a Parent & Child space without a child.

Loveislandaddict Sun 17-Nov-19 22:46:20

With my toddler somewhere. Can’t remember where.

SpunBodgeSquarepants Sun 17-Nov-19 22:48:51

It was my 13th birthday - so my mum was probably making my favourite dinner for me, lasagne smile

ForTheFew Sun 17-Nov-19 22:50:29

Actually, I could tell you where I was on the 11th (I had a Sunday job that year) but couldn’t tell you about Saturday 10th!

Queenoftheashes Sun 17-Nov-19 22:50:35

It was my 16th birthday. And I have literally no idea.

mumwon Sun 17-Nov-19 22:50:35

visiting my late dm in a nursing home - traveling up north on a sat once a month by train to visit her for 2 hours & than doing the reverse journey taking 3 hours each way. after working for a full week & caring for dear children - it was a sad time - thank goodness for my dh who drove me there & back to the station & my dc & friends … it made me recognise what counts in life & how precious family & time is.

TurquoiseDress Sun 17-Nov-19 22:50:45

drinking myself silly whilst trying to get ready for finals!

I could have been in a wide selection of bars & pubs in my university city grin

or maybe me & my friends were in a Pizza Express grin

emwithme Sun 17-Nov-19 22:50:51

At the rugby, then on the lash after the rugby.

No Pizza Express but either a dodgy burger or a KFC, depending on whether it was a home or away game.

ForTheFew Sun 17-Nov-19 22:51:09

The thing that makes no sense to me - the birthday party was at 4 or 5pm - that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have been out clubbing at 11pm!

beingchampion Sun 17-Nov-19 22:51:30

I can't remember. I never met anybody that I can remember either.

egontoste Sun 17-Nov-19 22:52:45

I think we were probably at dd's best friend's 2nd birthday party.

teabagleftin Sun 17-Nov-19 22:52:56

I was in California - can’t tell you what I was specifically doing but I know I was on holiday then

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 Sun 17-Nov-19 22:53:57

Is this to do with Prince Andrew. His movements are documented and kept, that's why he knew where he was.

RumbleDoll Sun 17-Nov-19 22:54:25

Happy, in good relationship.

Titsywoo Sun 17-Nov-19 22:56:36

I was in Australia travelling. Think I was living in Sydney still at this point but possibly was fruit picking in South Australia somewhere...

EustaciaPieface Sun 17-Nov-19 22:57:27

This was the hey day of Pizza Express half-price vouchers ! But if I was using them, then I’m in Glasgow not Woking...

Strawberrypancakes Sun 17-Nov-19 22:57:38

Zero clue! I was 19 and definitely into mischief wink

Strawberrypancakes Sun 17-Nov-19 22:58:06

Def not at pizza express though grin

katewhinesalot Sun 17-Nov-19 22:58:13

I can give him an alibi as I was definitely there too.

ElizaStrawberry Sun 17-Nov-19 23:02:23

Just lost a long response. Weird how mumsnet does that sometimes.

QuantumEntanglement Sun 17-Nov-19 23:03:06

Googled to find what day it was. Tuesday. Now it’s not an airtight alib but usually in March back then I’d be working late most days preparing for end of tax year audits. On Tuesdays (or maybe it was Wednesdays) DS2 had roller hockey club. He’d make his own way there but I’d pick him up after usually and, if I’d been working late, we’d get a take away on the way home, probably fish and chips or Chinese food! I can’t remember the names of either the chippy or the Chinese restaurant.

Thanksgiving2019 Sun 17-Nov-19 23:03:12

It was the week of my son’s 1st birthday Bd we were posted overseas with the army. Seems a lifetime ago.

ElizaStrawberry Sun 17-Nov-19 23:03:53

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1

Fergie? Why did he not refer to them on the interview?

tapdancingmum Sun 17-Nov-19 23:03:55

DD2 was 6 days old so probably at home (as it was Saturday) trying to rest I should imagine. Seems like only yesterday but she will be 19 next year!!!

HeadsShouldersSneezeandColds Sun 17-Nov-19 23:04:37

Probably in school. Was 12. Don't know specifics. I may have been off sick, I suppose. Or maybe it wasn't a weekday. Who knows!

KTCluck Sun 17-Nov-19 23:05:22

Hmm I don’t know, but I was 15 so probably at school or at home or out with friends. Possibly in a restaurant, but not pizza express.

I’ve cheated and checked my security detail calendar which informs me that was a Saturday.

I can categorically state I was pissed on a park bench with a bottle of cheap cider.

BrightYellowDaffodil Sun 17-Nov-19 23:05:45

It was a Saturday, I remember that much, because we moved that day. Was bloody knackered at the end of it all so maybe I was in Pizza Express that evening and I was too tired to remember?

Adayatatime Sun 17-Nov-19 23:05:59

At college doing A Levels at that time. Seems ages ago but in one way can remember it like yesterday

ElizaStrawberry Sun 17-Nov-19 23:06:30

#mumwon flowers

PickAChew Sun 17-Nov-19 23:06:55

No idea. I've had a sleep since then. I was still with my ex, though.

SockQueen Sun 17-Nov-19 23:07:28

Probably at school - we had Saturday school, lessons in the morning then sport in the afternoon. Netball in Lent term. Or at home watching Casualty in the evening. I was 16 but not cool enough to be going out.

ElizaStrawberry Sun 17-Nov-19 23:08:34

@TheRoses flowers

Selmababies Sun 17-Nov-19 23:09:50

I was on holiday in St Lucia with my 22 month old child

Rockbird Sun 17-Nov-19 23:10:20

Not long married and as it was a Saturday night it's vaguely possible we could have been in Pizza Express Woking which is near to where DH's parents live. Don't remember spotting any shifty lying bastards in the vicinity though.

Hadenoughofitall441 Sun 17-Nov-19 23:11:59

I would have been in high school year 8 😁

ReanimatedSGB Sun 17-Nov-19 23:13:03

Probably in the pub.

NoHummus Sun 17-Nov-19 23:16:02

At university. Or was I?

differentcity Sun 17-Nov-19 23:16:22

Saturday before my 10th birthday but I'm pretty sure I had my party at Tenpin, definitely not Pizza Express.

nicenewdusters Sun 17-Nov-19 23:17:17

I was at a shooting party. What? No, not a party, just your usual shooting party. My god, anybody would think you were trying to paint me as a philandering drunk, sweating my way through high street chain restaurants.

Jeeves, fetch the Range Rover, and don't bother opening the bloody gates.

sam221 Sun 17-Nov-19 23:19:44

I think i was visiting a Cathedral, maybe in Salisbury with takeaway pizza-not sweating either!

MajesticWhine Sun 17-Nov-19 23:20:04

I'm not sure. DD1 was 8 months old. We'd moved house quite recently. Was probably pottering at home. But could have gone for a pizza. I was not sweating, of that I can be sure.

ChookieYorksBrokenSweatGlands Sun 17-Nov-19 23:20:55

Doing something honourable.

70isaLimitNotaTarget Sun 17-Nov-19 23:20:59

I did overtime every Saturday in March that year (my DS was about 16 months old) there were 5 Saturdays .
I got Time+50% back then so nice paycheck grin

I didn't go to any Pizza establishments on that day .

lookatthebabypenguin Sun 17-Nov-19 23:22:11

I don't sweat since a massive adrenaline rush when I saw someone using a Parent & Child space without a child.

Frankly, I find that more plausible.

aliphil Sun 17-Nov-19 23:22:54

I was 24 and living in Battersea. Had a lie-in, went shopping for new jeans and bra, cooked chicken in white wine sauce, had a row on the phone with now-DH. Yes, I keep a diary. smile

SittingAround1 Sun 17-Nov-19 23:24:42

I was at uni. Far away from Woking.
Definitely not in a pizza express.

It's not an alibi though as he said he went at 5 in the afternoon. It's quite feasible that he put the girls to bed, left them with nanny and as Fergie was away, he went out to play.

ChilliMayo Sun 17-Nov-19 23:25:06

I was at my brother in laws wedding. It was a lovely wedding and we all had a great time.
This may be rather outing. The result of that great night had her 18th birthday this weekend (she arrived a little early).

elliejjtiny Sun 17-Nov-19 23:29:12

I was at school, in the 6th form.

OrangeZog Sun 17-Nov-19 23:30:16

I just think that if there is one family who actually would have an itinerary and paper/digital trail to be able to track their place at any particular time, it’s the Royal Family. I appreciate it’s almost 20 years ago but there would be security and flights involved if abroad and probably security even on a day off going (or not going) to Pizza Express in the week, so there must be some sort of trace to a certain extent. 🤷🏻‍♀️

PennyNotSoWise Sun 17-Nov-19 23:30:51

I was at home...by myself... all day, and all night I swear.

Why? Who've you been talking to?

Bezalelle Sun 17-Nov-19 23:35:10

Being an arrogant pretentious little sod in my first year of uni.

alwayscrashinginthesamecar1 Sun 17-Nov-19 23:49:50

I was 5 months pregnant and living in London.

ClientListQueen Sun 17-Nov-19 23:52:47

How do people remember this stuff? I have virtually no memory of before I was about 10 confused
2001... I would have been at college but that's as much as I know grin
