I'm taking DD to see the Live Crib in Dublin, and that's probably about it this year.

Probably winter wonderland in Hyde Park, I’ve booked (too many) grotto style events over December, when I return home there’s a Christmas train that goes through the beautiful Brecon Beacons and then dd gets to meet Santa. It’s lovely.

I’ve also got us an afternoon tea with Santa in a lovely hotel in London. There’s also some Christmas craft weekends being advertised near me but I’m not sure whether my dd is a little young. I’m going to enquire though.

Panto between Christmas and new year, Santa train ride before Christmas. They are young and afraid of sitting on his knee in a grotto

All sounds lovely. I’m looking for inspiration.

This is a bit South East London specific but we're going to this: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/79249705001
The mini stately home it is in this year will be all decorated for Christmas and we love how different the show is

We're doing

Local Festival of Lights thing
Ice skating at the temp rink put up at the big shopping centre
Local panto in January
National trust Victorian Christmas Day if we can get tickets.
Kids are having a big tree decorating and strictly sleepover with grandma

We try and do something festive most weekends in December and factor into our Christmas budget.

Beamish it’s lovely and festive, we normally visit Santa but this is the first year that our youngest DC knows we are Santa, so we may give that a miss but still see the reindeer and get gingerbread from the bakery.

York for the Christmas markets, love York at Christmas.

If the weather is dry will go to the carols on the green in the village.

I'm doing an advent calendar with stuff to do - some big like ice skating and panto and a visit to FC at a NT property...some smaller things like making paper chains and building a gingerbread house.

If you have membership, National Trust places are good as they're always done up with a theme and no extra cost to go in (almost always -there are a few exceptions) We are paying extra for Father Christmas visit though.

Since we had DS1 (10 years ago) we've always done a santa special steam train trip. The kids absolutely love it, we try and do it Christmas Eve if we can get tickets (we have this year). Other than that, we usually go to a big carol service (maybe Lichfield Cathedral, or Chester). That's about it, except school nativities etc.

Our Christmas activities start this weekend 😍

Manchester Christmas markets on Saturday with friends
Next weekend is big garden centre with Christmas displays, lights and music and a hotpot year. Then an early party for my nephew (3) who lives away from the rest of the family.

We have afternoon tea booked with family too but I can’t remember the exact date 😂

We’re having an early Christmas dinner with family on 15th and then off to Australia on 18th. We’ll just go with the flow and have an Australian Christmas!
