I'd love a Trader Joe's and Costco and Wal-Mart Blush i watch a lot of those American YouTube grocery hauls when i can't sleep and marvel at how huge everything is sad i know. I think we already have Costco but few and far between and harder to join here

Yes, And IHOP and especially, above all, Cracker Barrel! Trouble is, like with any American import, it would be shit over here. Sigh.

Omg, we traveled in the wrong direction for about 40 miles to go to Walmart. We’re going to Walmart America next year because my DH is running out of their boxers.

I miss M&S food and Tesco Finest range. Bread is just not the same over here. No back bacon or Lincolnshire sausages. I’ve learned to make my own bread, but still miss Aunt Bessie’s as my Yorkshire’s are hit and miss :)

Trader Joe’s is the best! We don’t have one in our town yet, so I have to drive 20 miles to the closest one - worth it. We have ihop and Cracker Barrel nearby, and I never go to either

@feckthemagicdragon. I always do a massive Tesco shop when I go home. I usually have a shopping list for my fellow expats too

Not sure where you are. I’m in England. Would love Trader Joes. There is a Costco near me. Walmart owns Asda, though I don’t think Asda is as good.

No it’s TJ all the way here. SmileWhy don’t they open up over here. The Aldi owner owns it.

Love trader joes and ihop.
My closest big town is the first place in the UK to get a chick fil a which I also love but it’s closing down as LGBQT protests re the founder of Chick fil s being a Christian that doesn’t believe in Gay marriage and supports a charity that is anti gay marriage as well.
The store is a franchise so not directly owned by Chick fil a founder. Think they are all franchises.

Love ihop. The pancakes are unreal and the teen dc love the burgers there.
I’d love a Walgreens. I’d move to America for the shopping. Someone I know on isntagram moved to New Jersey and she loves it and would never come back to the UK.

Also have two Costco’s in close distance but although they are good they aren’t as good as the US ones.

Omg! Those Instagrams!

I'm a US drugstore fiend, and love a Target too.

Tarjay, the locals wittily call it.

I've got Costco membership through work and although I quite enjoy a browse around it's better than being in the office I end up spending £150+ and don't have a lot to show for it. Well, actually there's a lot there, but I still need to go to another supermarket to do an actual week's food shopping.
I do like Asda though and think it's improved since Walmart bought it, from a shoppers point of view, I don't think employees would agree.

I was at Target yesterday - with teenage ds, so didn’t get to browse as much as I usually would. Probably just as well Grin

@UnicornMadeOfPinkGlitteryou must live near me, I was at the protest against it.
Taco Bell is opening here soon too which I'm tempted to try
I'm always jealous of the Extreme Couponers show in the US, they get thousands of dollars of stuff for naff all. If you give someone a voucher in Tesco they look at you like you've handed them the clap.
I also want Piggly Wiggly to open here. Not because it looks like a bargain hunters paradise but I'm a child and would find it amusing to say I was off to the Piggly Wiggly.

Trader Joe’s, once you get past the novelty value, is kind of overrated imo. Now Wegmans on the other hand is supermarket Heaven.

I used to like eating at Chilis and Applebees. nothing fancy, but I liked it. The kids always wanted to go to Denny's.
I used to drive 40 miles to Trader joes. But then I had to drive 10 to go and get a bottle of milk at the nearest grocery store. So a weekly round trip of 80 miles for the weekly shop was a normal day. We would go to Winco first (cheap and not for shopping at late in a not so nice area) followed by Costco for gas and pizza, bread and milk. (plus a lot of things I didn't need) then TJ's as needed.

Everything but the bagel really is the best most tasty salt thingy ever. I thought it was hype. I got it and it's not hype. It makes almost everything better!
