Anyone up for an eBay selling challenge this weekend?

I’m going to go through the house and list everything I can and see if I can turn our unwanted stuff into £££ Grin

Going to aim for about 30 listings to get on by the end of tomorrow - anyone else need to do this and keep me motivated?

That’s a shame it’s cheaper to sell next week but I nearly always work weekends so this is my only opportunity to focus on this before Xmas Smile

I gave up with eBay, they and PayPal take 35% of your sale price including the postage.

I use Facebay now, people collect from your house, pay straight away in cash and you keep 100% of the money.

It's not 35% fees pilot but it does make a big dent. But I find selling on Facebook a hassle as people are so flakey. I do it sometimes though.
I've been selling over the past couple of months but starting to run out of stuff now.

I am away this weekend but am constantly trying to post things. I try and do a few each weekend. This week I have 3 things bid on. So will be posting them on Monday.

I would be up for a longer running eBay challenge though.

Good for you! I've sold 23 things since start of October and made £154 which is t bad as most of my items are old dresses and baby things. Trying to get extra money for Christmas plus it's my sons 18th in a few weeks too. I keep meaning to give my old phones to music magpie too.

I have made about £250 since starting a couple of months ago. Am hoping to keep it up, nice to recoup some of the money spent on stuff.

eBay and PayPal take the piss, gave up a long time ago. Marketplace is dire but at least you set a price and keep every penny.

Well I’ve managed to get the vastly overpriced all the way from America Paul Logan hoody on, which ds1 begged for then Paul Logan did something heinous and he never bloody wore it! Along with other hoodies. Finding the listing form a bit annoying. Going to have a coffee now, then back into the binbags. Grin
Got 6 listings atm I think.

@RickOShay do you just find a similar thing already for sale and click the ‘sell one like this’ button? Makes it a lot quicker Smile

You can prepare drafts and then list on a £1 day (typically every other weekend Fri- Monday at the moment)

It takes less than 2 minutes to list an item on an iPad. Just choose sell similar from an item that you have listed. They payment/postage is then already set. Type the new title and then go down to change category and most times it will select the right one. Quick photos taken and a short description- the font and everything will remain from the last listing. I used tahoma 18 which looks nice.

If you do buy it now there is a relatively new feature that lets you make offers to anyone watching. So it might be £50 but you can send a limited time offer of £40 which goes to all who are watching, That is how I sell almost all of my stuff at the moment. I wouldn't do an auction unless it is something very rare, you get better prices doing but it now with best offer.
