Eating plan after fasting for Operation.

Just been in for an operation under general anaesthetic. Had to fast over night and the operation was at about 2pm.
Brilliant way to kick start my fasting, low carb diet again. especially as I’m not that hungry or stress eating as I’m off work.
However I’ve got two types of pain relief that require me to eat. I also can’t move that much so worried about putting weight on.
Any advice on what might be a good eating plan.

My top advice would be to eat if you are hungry and stop when you feel satisfied. Not stuffed, just not hungry any more. Eat what your body tells you (within reason! Take away ever night probably isn’t the best).

I’ve tried every diet going, they all work of course and I lose weight but then the forbidden fruit is still there and I’m craving it all and snap and binge. Eating intuitively has helped me get rid of the almost obsessive thoughts regarding food too.

You'll need enough calories for your recovery. Not a good time to be starting an eating plan.

How about hearty soups, jacket potato, toast and avo, eggs, those sorts of things. Plenty of fruit.

As above, this is recovery time, not the time for fasting. Excellent suggestions by Invisimamma.

The latest research suggests fasting is good for things like cancer and cleaning out toxins from your cells. But I don’t want to screw up my stomach taking pills. I just wondered if anyone knew about that side of things.I don’t take medication normally and not sure what works.
Soup seems a good idea thanks.
