Help! Stuck under a sleeping kitten..

Bought baby Demelza home today. She seems happy! She’s been purring and kneading at me as soon as the kids went to bed and it was quiet. I tried putting her to bed in the kitchen with the door shut with her bed, a blanket, water & litter. But she was crying and it hurt my heart!

I came downstairs and opened the door and she was actually in her bed.

But I felt guilty and she was sat At her bowl so I fed her abit (she’s mega greedy! And was actually climbing up the back of my legs for food..?)

And now she’s passed out on me on the sofa!

What do I do? Wake her and put her in the kitchen? Try and sleep on said sofa? 😩

The answer is obvious- you take photos of the snoozing kitty to show us!

Photo pretty please.
Can I swap places with you?

You take a photo and then you settle down for the night, or you snuggle her and bring her up to bed with you. I always feel mega guilty when I have to move a snuggled cat.

I couldn't possibly say until I've seen a photo of Demelza.

Oh the cute!

You must not move I'm afraid. You will need to stay just where you are for otherwise the kitten will be sad.

You have been incapussitated. The rule in our household is that anyone who is incapussitated has to be waited on hand and foot by other members of the household until such time as the boss cat decides to move.

Just looked back at “where should I put the litter tray?” thread.

Had a feeling that might be you!

Demelza is a fab name & a gorgeous kitty!

(Where have you put the litter tray? Wink)

I'm not sure why you think it's appropriate to ask these questions. Demelza has spoken. You have no questions Smile

You must retrieve her immediately and resume position on sofa

Pretty sure this thread was a very poorly disguised stealth boast Hmm

It can easily be a day or three before she'll poo, don't worry about that. As long as she keeps peeing.

Seems to be some sort of reflex, it's very common when rehoming small kittens.

Congratulations on your new overlord!

Oh she is soooo cute Smile

She needs a cuddly toy and a softly ticking alarm clock under her blanket in her bed so she will think it is a heartbeat.

Otherwise you have to go and sleep with her and there might not be much room in her bed.

I remember times when my bladder was in agony because of someone on my lap, purring away.

Putting her to bed in the kitchen 😂😂😂.

Just take her to bed with you now. She is a cat. This is a battle you are not going to win.

You shut a kitten in the kitchen? Why? She must be scared and feel lonely. Just take her to bed with you.

Plenty of people put them in the kitchen? Don’t because I feel awful 😩 I wouldn’t sleep at all if she was in our bed while she’s tiny, the husband is a heavy sleeper and would be scared he’d roll on her 😑
