Right sided lower abdo pain

A few months back I went to the GP and they looked at an "ovary" type pain i seemed to be having in the lower right area of my knicker/hip area. This included blood tests for coeliac disease, dairy allergy and an ultrasound on the ovaries and uterus.

All came back fine/inconclusive.

This last week I was in such agony at home with DS, I had to ask DH to come home from work on Saturday as I thought I would need to go off to A&E.

The pain was again right hand side ovary area and also felt like swollen bowels/uterus in the centre.

3 things which I can pinpoint that are different for me: I had my depo jab on Friday (my usual 13w appointment). I changed my diet to follow the slimming world plan on Thursday. I also had weetabix on Thurs and Fri AM for breakfast.

When I previously cut out gluten and dairy, the low level 1/2 out of 10 pain I always seem to have went.

The pain went to 8/9 out of 10 on Saturday.

Could it be any of the 3 things mentioned? If it is gluten/diary related, is it even worth going back to my GP?

Would you go back as it is a persistant issue?

I probably would, but only because my dd complained of right side lower abdominal pain for a few months (I thought hormones as shes pre teen) then one night the pain became horrendous and she vomited - turns out her appendix had exploded and on reflection had been "grumbling" for months.

Could be grumbling appendix, could be a bowel obstruction, could be a symptom of endometriosis...

Because I've been through this and was even bluelighted to hospital because of it, once

And the best they could do was suggest one of those Confused

I hope it's cause is found

Go back! I had 3 similar attacks in the last 18 months in a similar area, and thought it was gall bladder / rich food or ovulation / cycle related.

Turns out it was an infected appendix Shock I had no other symptoms, and the last time it got so bad I went to the walk in clinic and then to A&E. They had to do a full work up on me (pregnancy test, CAT scan, vaginal ultrasound etc) to rule out ovarian cyst, ectopic pregnancy / fallopian tube issue, appendix and anything else.

I was whipped in for surgery that evening. Surgeon confirmed that it can often flare up and then go away again - I was just thankful it wasn't gas, I'd have been mortified!

This is exactly what I have. It's very bizarre and comes and goes. I ended up in A&E over the summer as the pain was unbearable.

They found a 1cm cyst on my right ovary but said it was unlikely that was the cause of the pain? I was then sent for an internal ultrasound a few weeks later and the cyst had gone Confused

I also thought it could have been a grumbling appendix or gall bladder? They don't really seem to know.

August and September, the pain was really bad again but possibly related to my cycle and ovulation?

Touch wood, so far this month I've been pain free thank god. I totally sympathise though because the pain is excruciating and only ever low down on the right side
