Should I report this to the school?

Name changed as don't want this thread to follow me around. DD has just turned 15 and she is friendly to a boy in her year who is 14. He never has any lunch so dd occasionally though him something when she has money on her account for school meals. Ive seen him and he is very thin. Yesterday he told her that his dad is always drunk and hits him. But told dd not to tell anyone. DD told me but told me not to tell anyone. DD has said she will ask him if he wants to come round ours for dinner tomorrow or Saturday. Should I report it? I know it's a stupid question but he will think it's dd and know she's told people. What should I do? I just wish I could help him. 😞
