Do you spring out of bed or keep hitting snooze?

The second the alarm goes off I leap out of bed like a Jack-in-a-box.
I'm up instantly.
But I did go through a brief phase of '5 more minutes'.
I much prefer the heart attack inducing leaping.
Whats your style to start the day?

Definitely a jumper upper as well. If I keep snoozing I just wake up feeling ill and sluggish!

I'm a snoozer. A bad one. How do you do it???

I'm instantly standing, but don't talk to me, I'm not awake.

I'm an instant not a snoozer. I personally feel snoozer types are on the lazy spectrum. I tend not to procrastinate about anything.

Start off by putting on a loud annoying alarm and leave the device on the other side of the room.
That gets you up. Then over time you will get used to it and become a springer!Grin

Spring! If I spring, I should have time to at least make coffee before anyone tries to talk to me.

I've seen me get up out of bed and switch off the loud alarm and get back into bed for 5 more minutes 😳 eventually receiving a phone from work as to where I am! 😂

I press snooze once, then look at my phone (MN or a book on Kindle app or Candy Crush if my eyes won’t focus on words) for 5-10 minutes until I feel properly awake. Having to jump out of bed when I wake up makes me feel light headed/dizzy and in a very bad mood!

I need at least 15minutes to come to myself

I’m a snoozer because the alarm goes off at 6.20 when I don’t need to get up until 7.45 Angry

No DC, I’m out of the house 8.30 but DH is out 7.15. He doesn’t get up until 6.40 but claims he needs 20 mins between the alarm and getting up to “acclimatise” play candy crush

I prefer to get straight up and under the shower head if I have the option, but I am so resentful that the alarm goes off 1h 25m before I need to be out of bed. Grr.

Snoozer. Loving the lazy judgement though.

I set my alarm for 7,but don't need to be up until 20 past. That way I can listen to the news and come to slowly. Then I'm ready to get up at 7.20.

Not good at talking until at least 7.45 though.

OP you remind me of the Apprentice contestant who leapt out of bed every morning singing "I'm alive, awake, alert, enthusiastic" to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it". Grrr

I spring. Purely because I leave the alarm setting to the very last minute so I get all of the sleep. If I don’t spring then I will be late. Even with springing it’s touch and go sometimes.

Not quite at those levels of annoyance yet, Swisskit, but am definitely a morning person.

Leap out of bed. I have to, I do the morning school run for three families and if we miss the bus, it’s an 18 mile drive to school.

Straight up and in the shower or out for a run but like a zombie for 30 minutes!

I’m a snoozer, definitely a night owl even though I’d much prefer to be a morning person! I’m always tired all day then come to life after 7pm. Don’t startle me awake either, else I’m a dragon!

Snooze, but I set the alarm 30mins early to allow this and more often than not I wake half an hour before that. Don't have any problem getting up at the planned time, I don't hit snooze indefinitely.

I wake up very grumpy and am furious if my husband dares to speak to me.

I get up straight away, I go downstairs and have a cup of tea in peace and then get ds up. I couldn't cope without that 15 mins to myself.

Once my alarm goes off I can't get back to sleep so on days that I'm straight out of bed. On days off I tend to lay in bed for a bit but I'm awake and usually on my phone.

DH is a snooze and it drives me mad! We work different shifts so it's always fun hearing his alarm go off at 4am, 4.10am and 4.15am when he finally gets up.

I hate alarms the world would be a nicer place I'd be a nicer person if I just woke up naturally!!

Im a 'always wake up 1 minute before my alarm' kind of person. My husband is the total opposite and sets like 20 alarms even going past the time he's supposed to be at work!

I am a leader - generally wide awake quite early. Promptly leapt on by various pets all demanding breakfast so that focuses the mind! Ex was a snoozer - drove me mad - just set the sodding alarm later if you are getting up later!!
