You best tricks? Sometimes you just hear one and you think why didn't I think of that? Doesn't have to be revolutionary.

Mine - never peel a garlic clove before pressing it. So much easier to remove from garlic press afterwards.

And Ikea Koncis garlic press is the best ever Smile.

Yours?

If you get a piece of shell in with the egg after cracking an egg the best way to retrieve it is by using the shell in your hand - it sticks to it fairly easily

To test the freshness of an egg, spin it and then stop it. If it spins by itself then it's fresh. If it remains still, then it's not.

Thank you Smile.

I have an egg one as well, you can test the freshness by dumping the egg into a glass of water, if it stays on the bottom (or near) it is fresh, if floating at the rim you better not eat it.

Funny so many egg ones there are.

Put a dab of clear nail varnish over the threads on buttons on school uniforms to prevent them falling off on the first week back

Grate or peel butter that's too cold to spread easily
