Today dh saw a ghost....

The ghost of our lovely neighbour!!
2 weeks ago we had a hand delivered note through our door advising us that dear M had sadly passed away. Few details, email and phone number attached but no door number . Dh confirmed the Lovely Neighbour is /was indeed called M. I sent dc over with a card and my number if there was anything we could do etc
All good.
Except dh saw M today, very much alive and in our street!.
I sent the dc with a In Sympathy card to the wrong house!!
I have told 'd bloody h' he was so sure Lovely Neighbour is /was M so he needs go over and apologise for the confusion!
How would you sort this out??
And meanwhile another Lovely Neighbour called M has died!!
If we had a back door I would be entering our house vai there forever more!
Mortified!
And I cried thinking Lovely Neighbour had died!!

I think sending your DH over would sort it out. Style it out in a friendly way with living neighbour and get another sympathy card for the other family.
