I just read about this and cannot understand how he could have done this to his little baby son - it is beyond horrific.

Poor baby. I’ve been trying to understand how someone could do this. Yes, possibly drugs.

I have heard of men and some women killing their own children. I used to watch Dr Phil on tv and woman in the US came home to find her husband had shot their 4 children and then shot himself because she was leaving him. He had a left a note telling her he knew the only way he could punish her was to kill her babies. The woman nearly took her own life because of it but she didn't and managed to some how get her life back together - I don't know if I could have done that myself. So I hope the woman who is pregnant and has witnessed this terrible act can somehow survive and continue to live her life the best she can.

Poor little mite. His mum didn't actually see it happen though, she was at home and the dad had taken the little boy out to buy milk apparently Sad

I knew it was going to be the dad when the story broke. It happens way too often

@FoldenHoard

I didn't realise that and I am thankful she didn't witness it because she would had suffered more than she is already suffering. What usually happens in these cases is the man usually commits suicide or someone will get to him in jail because other prisoners do not like child killers.

It's beyond belief and it's not that uncommon. These type of men clearly aren't bonded to their children, they just see them as commodities to hurt their girlfriends and wives with.

I read the other day of a man in South Africa who hanged his children because of a row with their mother. Despicable.

I don't even think drugs are always a factor, they're just evil men who are so arrogant they can't stand 'their woman' to speak against them or be with someone else and will do anything to punish them.

The poor Mum has wrote a heart wrenching statement on Facebook this morning having to defend herself against internet trolls. The poor woman, as if she wasn't going through enough.

It’s awful. My one year old ds is snuggled up in his cot right now I have no idea how someone could hurt such a innocent, little child. The poor little boy. My heart aches for his mother.

These men see the children as possessions, to do what they want with. I hope he rots in jail.

It’s possible that he found out the infant wasn’t husband after all. Or it was said in an argument. Who knows? Whatever made him do it I hope isn’t going to be excused by mental health issues. It was an act of evilness.

He has numerous Facebook accounts and looks alike a typical ignorant thug.

^^^ sorry, I wrote that whilst distracted!

Should read as

It’s possible that he found out the infant wasn’t his. Or it was said in an argument but untrue.

Who knows? Whatever made him do it I hope isn’t going to be excused by mental health issues. It was an act of evilness.

I live about 10 minutes away from where it happened. The local community are in total shock, my heart goes out to that poor baby and his family.

Acoording to local gossip the father has a history of DV and is well known as a bit of a thug. Initial reports said there was a woman with him who filmed the incident and the assumption was that it was the mother, hence why she's had to release a statement saying that she wasn't there. As no-one else has been arrested I assume that wasn't the case.

It's just incomprehensible. The river's deep and fast flowing there, an adult would struggle to survive. He must have known what the outcome would be. I hope he rots, slowly and painfully.

This is horrific! It's just incomprehensible ☹️ I just can't even begin to imagine how heartbreaking something like this must be. That poor mother. The poor child...!

And this - Do you know the father? Did you see what happened? Email [email protected] or [email protected] - at the top of the page??!! I didn't think the Daily Fail could ever be more vile than they already were... Fucking 'tips'?!

Soola · 12/09/2019 15:18

@Whatwaswrongwiththatusername the Daily Mail are not being vile, that’s a standard paragraph used on news stories.
