My wonderful husband will never walk again

My husband is 33 and was knocked off his motorbike by a speeding car. He's been in hospital since the beginning of July and on Friday he was told for definite he will never walk again. He is paralysed from the waist down. I'm expecting our 3rd child. DH wants to come home. I want him home but our home is not suitable for him. We live in a 3 story town house with steps up to the front door. He can't even get in the house. Tomorrow I'll be phoning the council to be moved to a more suitable home but it could take months. Until then DH has to stay in hospital. He will be moved to a community rehab hospital when a bed becomes available somewhere, but it could be anywhere in the country. I'm terrified of our future.
