What have you eaten today?

I love a food thread and normally pick up some new ideas as well smile

Breakfast, poached eggs on toast. Lots of coffee

Lunch chicken salad & party rings with the dc

Dinner later will be sausage and butter bean stew & a bottle of red for me and dh
Dessert home made strawberry ice cream ( the ice cream maker has turned out to be a great buy)

I've ate terribly today - 2 bowls of coco pops with orange and mango juice.

And then chocolate doughnut, jam doughnut, a few packets of space raiders, and some brownie milk (all on the way back from the weekly shopping trip).

I somehow managed to make the most incredible lamb saag (first time ever!) and ate that for lunch, along with shop bought pilau rice/naan/bhajis.

I have enough for seconds so I think that is Monday dinner sorted too!

I then had a bowl of gorgeous fresh strawberries, really tasty (not the disappointedly bland you so often get).

Scrambled tofu on buttered toast and a hot chocolate.

Roasted cauliflower soup with onion, garlic and butter.
Mash potato with mushroom and leek bangers and onion gravy. Grape juice.

In the US so it's 10:30 am here. I had (parts of, can't eat it all) coffee, eggs, bacon, grits, toast. And part of a Bloody Mary with crunchy celery.

For lunch planning a sandwich with fresh tomatoes and for supper a Mexican salad with chicken.

Ive been rubbish food wise; 3 lidl version of chocolate hob nobs, a raspberry and chocolate magnum (amazing discovery) and some skinny popcorn. I am on the way to the inlaws for a proper roast though so at least there'll be some veg going on!

I'm calorie counting to lose some baby weight but Sundays are my 'day off' from it. Don't count calories but don't go mad, just more relaxed

B: small bowl of chocolate granola and slice of toast with marmalade (toddler are half)
L: cheese and crackers, olives, stuffed vine leaf. Kiwi
D: will be KFC-style chicken (made in air fryer), homemade chips, corn on the cob, salad, coleslaw

Also had a chocolate digestive with a cup of tea. Will either have a banana or a square of dark chocolate before bed

Breakfast - a homemade raspberry, strawberry and banana smoothie.
Lunch - left over fried rice with onion and some satay sauce. Also sprinkled over some salt and chilli seasoning.
Snack - Tunnocks Caramel water and a skinny iced latte.
Tea - take away pizza and ill some cherries for after.

Breakfast was raspberries & a nectarine followed by a bacon sandwich.

Lunch was a chicken sandwich, crisps, guacamole & a glass of rose wine.

Snack was raspberries & clotted cream.

Pre dinner snack will be Pimms & more crisps & guacamole.

DH & DS are away so I have treated myself to a fillet steak for dinner with salad (& home made chips) & a glass or two of red wine.

No wonder I am overweight grin, but thoroughly enjoying a lovely relaxing sunny afternoon & evening, did do some volunteering this morning so day not completely lazy.

@Soola - Ooh how do you scramble tofu? I've had the block type but that sounds totally different.

Got a ham cooking though with quiche, new potatoes and salad. Will probably force some fruit down later, don't like it much to be honest but I do try.

I'm not proud of myself, but we've been up since 5.45 (which is normal to be fair) but it's been a bad day and long week and I think I'm just eating to try and stay awake. Unfortunately hiding in bed all day wouldn't work with a three year old.

At work - ate two roast potatoes that were going spare
Dinner - three sausages and a whole broccoli, half a cauliflower and half a pack of fine beans with a little bit of butter. Cherry mullerlight yogurt and a handful of cherry tomatoes.
Have some toffee and sea salt milk chocolate that I'll have later with some fruit.
Drinks - lots of water, three black coffees and a sugar free monster.

I always think I eat so much more than everyone else on these threads!!!

Breakfast: 2 fried eggs, piece of bacon. 2 pieces of toast one with peanut butter one with marmalade. Handful of nuts and two banana pancakes.

Lunch: two squares of chocolate and a third of a piece of Victoria sponge. Stole this from my toddler.

Dinner: few veggie tortilla chips, some houmous. Raw carrots, olives, raw tomatoes. Tuna steak, chopped salad, lentil and aubergine stew. Big bowl of strawberries and cream.

Very odd day of eating. On holiday and I'm being cooked for a lot which is nice, but leads to strange habits. I normally eat a hell of a lot more veg!

Late snacky and random breakfast of raspberries, strawberries, vegan cheese and a bit of vegan brownie

Ended up going out for lunch so shared with DH: warm asparagus, kale and edamame salad, some Ayurvedic bowl concoction, fancy pasta pesto with garlic gremolata and roast cherry tomatoes, all washed down with a black sesame, matcha, date and tahini smoothie

I’m stuffed now, plan for dinner if I end up hungry enough is leftover quinoa, pea and tomato salad with beyond sausages

And hair of the dog will shortly be calling so a g&t before the day is out

Lunch: watermelon, feta and walnut salad
Dinner: poached salmon with potato salad in herb dressing, grated beetroot, raw courgette with lime and ginger, green salad with a slice de of banana bread for pudding
Snacks: two little flat peaches, two slices bread and butter, a few mini pretzels

Our water has been off or dodgy for much of today, so a lot of convenience food.

Muesli with soya milk, a banana and a cup of instant coffee (bleurgh but I had no way of washing out my filter if I made proper coffee)
Some udon noodle prick with a fork affair that looked delicious but the greens in it were bitter and the sauce tasted like sugary smoky bacon crisps
M&S hot chicken tikka masala, home made aubergine curry (both fished out of the freezer) and ready cooked rice for dinner.
Gooseberry crumble cake for pud (made yesterday)
Handful of salted peanuts, mid afternoon, because the noodle thing had left me feeling unsatisfied and with heartburn.

I'm losing weight, because I'm overweight and recently diagnosed with high BP and a slightly fatty liver, but I'm not hugely motivated to optimise my foods.

Breakfast was a protein shake, made with protein powder, almond milk and banana. Plus an apple.

Lunch was a tuna nicoise salad with another apple.

Afternoon snack was a handful of nuts and raisins.

Dinner was roasted brocoli and cauliflower topped with some seasoning and parmesan, and a breaded cod fillet on the side.

My DH is trying to tempt me with an almond magnum ice cream but I go on holiday in three weeks and am desperately trying to lose weight.

I also walked 5 miles today. Go me! 😳

Any snacks will be fruit.

Yesterday was:

B: Protein shake (protein powder, banana and almond milk)
L: Vegan chilli, small amount of rice, salad, spoon of guacamole and sour cream, handful of nachos plus half a baked potato
D: chicken curry and ricd
S: Kallo rice cake with plain chocolate x 3

4 mile run to make up for big massive lunch and snacks.

Tomato pasta with pork chops and cabbage
Belvita soft bake, grapes, blueberries

Breakfast - Peach, small bowl of raspberries and a Nakd bar
Lunch - baked potato with tuna and a small feta salad
Dinner - prawn stir fry with noodles
Snacks - kitkat and muller corner yogurt. Oh and 1 fig roll biscuit

Half a marmite sandwich
Tons of blueberries
Coffee,banana, almond butter and date smoothie
Some tuna
2 aperol spritz’s
Bruschetta
Tomato and avocado salad
3 ginger nuts
1 snickerdoodle cookie hmm

Lots of coffee and not enough water

Today I have had....

Porridge with banana and a coffee
2 slices toast, 1 marmite 1 peanut butter, peppers and hummus & yogurt
Melon slices (snack)
Creamy spinach & lemon salmon on sweet potato mash with broccoli & cauliflower grin

B: One slice of white toast with butter, coffee.
L : Small portion of pasta with tomato sauce, few grapes, about 10 minstrels sweets.
D: Small portion of beef stew, extra veg, 2 slices of garlic bread
Ice cream from the van!

Breakfast was mushrooms sauteed with blue cheese, omelette, tinned tomatoes and wholemeal toast; then we had chocolate and tea.

Watermelon and nuts as snacks, tuna salad for late lunch.

I haven't eaten anything this evening yet as I have a sore stomach sad

B: Naughty, a croissant, but I’d been for a run so I didn’t feel too bad about it

Two boiled eggs.
Hummus with carrot and cucumber sticks.
Thai noodle soup and a buttered roll.
Black coffee and diet tonic water (not in one drink!).

Breakfast: pate on toast and black coffee
Elevenses: chocolate ginger cookie
Lunch (mid afternoon just befor school run): bowl of Shreddies
Dinner: fajitas

Not the most wholesome I admit. I ran out of time for a nice healthy lunch. Must try harder tomorrow.

Toasted bagel with marmite
Coffee, banana, almond butter and date smoothie
Tortilla chips, salsa and guacamole
Crust of DS’s pizza

Trying not to eat until dinner which will be:
Cucumber and melon gazpacho
Pisatchio and herb falafel with grilled cauliflower, date and orange salad
Almond cake with poached peaches
(Friends coming over hence the mega effort!)

All likely to be washed down with a a glass or two of wine
