Have never shopped with etsy before wondered if this was a common problem

I've never had a problem. Have you checked the dispatch time the seller's offering? Sometimes they can be a while so they cover themselves if on holiday etc.

In my experience things from etsy can take a while to be delivered. More often than not they are hand made to order and coming from outside the UK. Is your seller UK based? They usually have an estimated delivery time on their shop page.

I’ve bought from Etsy a lot an never had issues. Is it a custom order, things tend to take longer than a week to arrive in my experience, but the lack of communication isn’t promising.

I placed two orders last week - one was dispatched the next day and arrived Monday, the other was dispatched only yesterday. I think it all depends on the seller but I've ordered from Etsy a few times and never had any issues.

I have ordered loads from Etsy and never had a problem. You need to check the sellers timescales though.

Estimated delivery times are set by Etsy and are unlikely to be realistic! It's a big problem for those of us who sell there.

Have you checked the shop to see if it's still active? Etsy is for handmade, vintage and supplies, so if it's supposed to be a new t-shirt it shouldn't be sold there.

Sorry op no help to your query but out of interest to @MyKingdomforaNameChange You can set your own delivery period on Etsy. You can change it on the listing bit, click 'Delivery *
Click 2nd class (for example)
Hit the three dots and an 'edit' option comes up at the bottom.
Hit that, click 'processing time' edit accordingly. Save.

@bagpiss, thanks smile

However processing time and delivery time are 2 different things - and etsy are currently telling customers of many shops that they can expect their item 2 days from order. It hasn't affected my shop - yet! - but there are plenty of posts about it in the forums.
