Did you grow taller than your parents?

My grandmother's on both sides were very short (just over 5 foot) and both grandfather's were at the 6 foot mark.
My parents were 5'6" and 5"9
I ended up being 5' 10 DH is 5' 10
Our DD is 6 ' 1" and a bit, DS is 6'
It makes me wonder , of they have kids one day, will they be taller still?

Also, I am just curious if it is the same with most people s families (each generation gets a bit taller)?

DH is 6'1, DS are 6'4, 6'5 and 6'2 (at the moment)

Taller than my Mam who is 5ft 4 and I am 5ft 7, but I’m shorter than my Dad who is 5ft 11. DB is 6 foot.

I only knew my Mam’s parents, Gran was 4ft 11 and Grandad 5ft8

DGM - 5’4”/ DM - 5’2” /me - 5’8”, DSis 5’10. DDad was very tall though.

No. My mum is 5ft 8, my dad was 5ft 11.5 (never forget the .5 ) and I am 5ft 7. My XH is 5ft 10, our daughter is 5ft 2 and our son is 6ft.

Yes, I’m 6’1” my mother and dad are quite short, probably around 5’6”.

I'm 5 inches taller than my Mum, but shorter than my Dad

DS1 is 6ft 1 and both of his parents ( me and my ex) are 5ft 7

DS1 is shorter than me currently but predicted to end up 6ft 3. He's only 10 at the moment but if he continues to grow as he has I imagine he'll get there ( 5ft 1 , size 8 feet currently ). His Dad is 6ft and I'm 5ft 7

I ended up exactly the same height, size and shape as my mother, with the same colour hair. I even look very like her facially. My mum just replicated herself, basically.

Yes, but I'm the only one of my siblings who did. I have two DDs who are not fully grown yet but neither look like they are going to end up taller than me if they carry on along their percentiles.

I am an absolute short arse in my family, dm was 5'4 (she is 80 now and shrunk a bit), df a 6 footer and both dbs over 6 foot. I have just managed to scrape 5'1, my dd is 5.9. I look even smaller when we are all together, even my nephews are taller than me, the oldest 18, the youngest 11 and both well on course for over 6 foot.

No and looks like dd won't grow taller than me. I'm 5ft 3, my mum is 5ft 5 and dd is 5ft 2 (She's 14). Ds is only 12 so no idea how tall he will end up.

I am taller than my 5'11 Mum but shorter than my 6'3 dad. My siblings are shorter than us though.

My DCs Dad is 6'2 so I'm hoping they don't go TOO far past us!!

Taller than DM shorter than DF (though not by too much). But average height in the family for men is 6' and both DBs are that or taller. I stopped at 5'8/9 depending on the day.

Yes, dm 5.3 df 5.7 me 5.10 dgf 6.2 but dgms both just over 5 ft and dgf2 was 5.5 so it's fairly clear where my height comes from, I've now been outgrown by my three dcs.

Yep, my mum is (well, was, age means she's closer to the floor these days!) 4' 11". Dad is 5' 10". I'm 5' 11".

There are loads of much taller people on both sides, however, so being tall isn't exactly bucking the extended family trend.
