What are the best Vegan recipe books?

I'm trying to go(gradually) vegan and I'm looking for some recipe book suggestions. Amazon seems to have several Aine Carlin books cheap on Kindle, but I'm not familiar with her. Are her books work getting? Also any other recommendations would be appreciated. TIA

Katy Beskow's books are great for beginners as she uses lots of simple supermarket ingredients (no need to hit the health food shops). Her books are called Fifteen Minute Vegan. Lots of delicious recipes that are easy to make (and quick).

Aine Carlin books are my favourites-straightforward and no unusual ingredients.

Also like Bosh (and BishBashBosh looks good too)

I'm doing the same thing- good luck!

Bosh is really good, they are very active online too.

Oh She Glows

Thug Kitchen

I'd also recommend going to your local library and looking through their vegan recipe books - I take them out and scan the recipes I like the look of.

I really like the look of the new £1 meals vegan book. I've not made anything out of it yet but there's some lovely looking recipes in there.

Another vote for Bosh. Also look online, there’s a few good simple ones on bbc food etc

Thank you all for the recommendations. I'll check all of them out.

TildaTurnip. Would you recommend any particular Aine Carlin books?

Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's Even More Veg (or something like that) is fantastic - he can actually cook!

Thug Kitchen are very good.

I'm not keen on Bosh as I think their recipes are a bit lacklustre while trying to be showy.

The Meera Sodha column in the Guardian is very good!!

Thank you for the suggestions, Contessa. You just reminded me too that I have the Even More Veg book buried somewhere on my Kindle, bought when it was on offer. Which recipes would you recommend?

Keep it Vegan is probably my favourite (Aine Carlin). I’ll have a look in the morning if it is in that one where there’s a lush watermelon salad.

Yet another vote for Bosh. They have just launched a second book.

Flowers - I like the ones with pulses/legumes/grains because they contain more protein and feel more filling, making them more like a 'proper' meal to me vs the veg-only ones, which can sometimes feel a little like side dishes (whisper it!).

Also, if you like Indian food then you're into a winner; find a veggie Indian cookbook and you're laughing, as most recipes won't have dairy or eggs anyway.

*many recipes - possibly not most!

I have Keep It Vegan and Cook Share Eat Vegan by Aine Carlin, both good. There’s a vegan and vegetarian version of the roasting tin cookbook which is good too if you like simple throw-it-all-in-a-tray things - The Green Roasting Tin by Rukmini Iyer.

Thank you, Contessa. I love Indian food so I'll definitely look out for some vegetarian recipe books. I'll try my library as suggested by SpaceCadet. Good luck to you too.

Thank you GothicSprout. I love, love one pot meals and tray bakes. I'm a competent cook but I'm not someone who wants to faff about with three different pans for one meal, so that book sounds perfect.

:) happy to help. I'd also find a local vegan Facebook group if possible and ask if you can borrow some of these books - vegans are generally delighted to play potential new recruits with material!
