Anyone else hate a programme that their DP LOVES? Complain about it here!

Obviously DH & I don't love all the same tv programmes, but one that he loves and I really despise is Blue Bloods. I can't really be bothered to go anywhere when it's on, so I'm stuck on the sofa reading and trying to ignore it.

I'm sure it's a perfectly good show, but I hate it, and since DH no longer listens to my complaints about it, I'll put them here:

The entire family being great salt-of-the-earth cops. All just too good.

Tom Selleck's character and his constant moral high ground.

The stupid trite family dinner with the grandad and his stupid twee speeches. As if anyone ever does that.

Anyone else need to complain about the crap their DP subjects them to watches?

Tennis. Sigh.
He goes on & on about it. I could not care less.

He loves Salvage Hunters.

Cannot stand it.

Same thing on repeat, drive to an old house or school, buy some stools, sell them for three times what they paid. Seen one episode, seen them all.

Football. Football. Football and more football. Doesn’t matters who’s playing, he’ll watch it! If it’s UTD then our whole day/eve will be planned around it. If he’s nit watching football, he’s watching sky sports news! But....I knew this when I first met him, so it’s no surprise! I just carry on doing what I’m doing and in fairness, he still chats/cuddles and involves himself if whatever I’m doing (as long as the football is still in earshot!!)

Bojack Horseman. He loves it and so do many of my friends, but I just don't get it.

DH loves and I hate Alan Partridge. So unfunny! Also Grand Tour - too much larking about and nothing to do with cars anymore.

Can I add teenage DC to the mix op? Family Guy and The Simpson's. Grrrr.

He has to put up with my shit tv though, mostly reality shows. We are enjoying Line of Duty and The Victim was great so definitely share a few shows!

Big Bang theory. I cannot stand the fucking thing. He watches it on e4 constantly. If we’re all home on it goes. I turn it over the second he leaves the room. We argue about it a lot....! Blush

Any space programme. Even the dreadful predictable ones that you know are going to be dreadful he'll still watch to the end "just in case" it gets better

I will say though that he does put up with things I like to before someone accuses him of being an arse!

Anything to do with Aliens, the wars (any/all of them but particularly the American Civil War - must have seen 39 different versions of the same documentary) anything to do with planes/trains/boats

Fairylea I came on to say Big Bang Theory. We separated last year and I’ve not watched it since!

@HeyJude81 Sky Sports News cracks me up! Like, sports are fine, not my thing, but fine if you're into them. But who wants to watch sports news all day? Like, why is that interesting?! Surely once you know the results from your team and the league they're in, that's enough information.

That stupid Arrow programme. The crime fighting, super hero type one. It's so fucking shite that I literally cannot sit in the same room as the TV when it's on.

Every bloody F1 Grand Prix- AND practice, qualifying and the endless replays. And the recorder is full of old GP weekends
I hate hate hate it. I volunteer at a NT house to avoid it.
When the kids were small and I worked some Saturday and Sunday mornings you could cut the atmosphere with a knife if it was a GP weekend because he had to look after his kids instead of keeping lap charts.
And breathe
