People born before 1985 with no life insurance are in for a really big surprise

Apparently having no life insurance is really really aging.

Look at this guy. He’s only 40 years old. Should’ve bought life insurance.

Is it just me that thinks this every time that sodding ad pops up?

I haven't seen that ad, but now I will be thanking the stars I was born in 85 and not before Grin

That’s so funny. 😂
I must say I am getting fed up with that guys face. It’s so unnecessarily...detailed.

Hahaha christ I'm 1985 too, thank god I didn't come when my mum originally wanted me!

You’re so right! If this guy really is the million years old that he actually looks and doesn’t have life insurance, then he has saved himself a fortune over the years not paying for it, and probably doesn’t need it any more anyway. He could cheer up a bit about that.

Looking at him i think there's a miss print on the advert.

Its meant to read people born before 1885 with no life insurance are in for a big suprise.

Which i might agree with given that their 134 years old. Grin

But if there isn't, christ, he might not be even 40 yet. If he was born in 1984 he'd be 34

If i was 34 and looked like that i think not having life insurance would be the least of my problems Grin

Hahaha! That's from the same advertisers that did "Woman is 53 but looks 27". Where is she anyway? Haven't seen that one for ages!

I was born mid-70s and I’d say that’s a pretty accurate depiction of me.

I was born in 1969. I do get a bit of a shock when I accidentally catch sight of myself in a mirror. No life insurance. Am I doomed?

I’m 36 and look pretty similar in the mornings.

Is it a nice surprise? I was born before 1985, don't look quite that bad yet.

The random capital letters in that sentence really upset me

I was born in 1972. I've never had life insurance, I still don't understand what it's for. I look great.

But surely before 1985 covers everyone 34 and above, which that man clearly is. Am I missing something?

I was born before 1985 and I have no life insurance but I am really happy with that and look much better than he does Grin

Hmm, Tinty he doesn’t look like he’s had a big nasty surprise, does he?

In fact he only looks slightly bemused and not surprised at all.

I think they’ve exaggerated the magnitude of the surprise for effect. Typical advertisers.

I used to have £3m actually of it but now the children are almost off my hands and I don't have a mortgage I have none.
I don't see any ads on here as I use an adblocker.

slash That man is indeed older than 34, but I wouldn’t say he’s necessarily typical of people in that age bracket.

You’d expect it to be an ad for stairlifts or something.

I hate that advert. I think that they might have lied to us. Every time I see that advert I feel glad I was not born before 1985. I was born in 1996. That advert covers all folks born before 1985. I don’t want life insurance. Insurance policies are astronomical. I already have taken out a pet insurance policy, a car insurance policy, a insurance policy for my apartment and a few other insurance policies.

Well, quite. And worse still, that is the face they’ve chosen for their ad on mumsnet. I don’t think he looks like a typical MNer either.

Mind you, several posters have admitted a resemblance.
