Money is no object. You have a whole room to yourself, maybe even a warm shed. No one else is allowed in. What do you do with it?

I would set up a sewing room. Lots of lovely fabrics on organised shelves. A wine fridge. A well set up sewing table, radio 4 playing in the background. No children whinging at me.

I have a garden room, with bookshelves, my yarn stash, a laptop and my present cupboard which gets added to all year round. For me, it’s radio 4 extra in the background

Oh goodness! Hot tub (I know some people aren't keen but it would be just for me!). Room to be creative in, lovely and light with big windows. Fairly minimalist decor - pretty and inspiring. Some beautiful plants and flowers. Some beautiful retro furniture, uber stylish. Nice wooden radio... I think probably light and bright on the decor front with some beautiful colour accents, hot pink fabric, orange, gold, etc, big sun shaped mirror. All sounds a bit OTT writing it down but I think it would look lovely.... !

It also doubles as a nursery/hospital wing when I foster bottle fed kittens/puppies or poorly cats

Art. And I'd sit in a comfy chair with a good sound system, sipping champagne while looking at it.

I fancy one of those garden pods with a glass roof and glass walls. I'd have the posh one with power and tea/coffee facilities and power for the radio and it'd be permanently set up with the comfy bed base in the middle. I'd rotate it to get the best angle for the sun and catnap with a lovely fluffy blanket. I'd have a beautiful glass teapot too for endless tea drinking in between snoozing. Bliss.

I have a sewing room - shelves buckling under the weight of fabric and yarn. Sometimes I like to just sit and hug yarn.... I love love love that space, though the littlest one does love to press the buttons on my machine..... Angry

Yoga studio/reading room

Oooh can I have several?! I'd have:

  1. A craft room, lots of lovely easy to access storage for fabric, paper, everything else. A take just for the sewing machine and a huge table with a ruler on it for cutting fabric. Another table for paper crafts etc. It's light and airy, with jazz music on softly in the background!

  2. a reading room with shelves and shelves of books, all sorts of seating and lounging like big beanbags, blankets, cushions galore in sparkly threads, blues, purples and silvers. It's WARM and snuggly. No music, just soundproof. And room for more books. And decent light.

  3. a yoga type studio. Yoga mat, extra long in the middle, blankets, yoga ball, blocks, meditation music, and warm enough. Lots and lots of spiky balls and foam rollers for massaging out knots. In fact, let's have a massage chair in there. There's a screen, with a decent pilates instructor taking me through a personalised routine, whenever I want her. It's got a sprung dance floor and mirror wall, and it doubles up as a venue to do partner dancing or workshops in.

Library. With comfy seating. And two tier shelving where you have to go up a special ladder.

And guitar display/ playing area.

And maybe a wine/ beer fridge.

First of all I would invest in a bookcase.
Then I will use the money to find myself a art teacher. I’d also stop by a garden centre for some lovely plants and other household items that light up a room. If I had enough left over I would pick up some paints for my kids to use. Oh and I would also splurge on a once in a lifetime experience or vacation somewhere cheap and hot.

Mine is an actual shed. With tools. And pallet offcuts to make seed trays out of.

I have one of these and for some inconceivable reason decided I needed a home office. Hmm
