The other one commonly misheard is ‘good king Wenceslas’ often sung as ‘good king wenslas LAST looked out.

Hmm, I’ve just googled the lyrics to ‘we wish you a merry Christmas’ and I’ve been singing it all wrong.

It’s ‘oh, bring us us a figgy pudding’ I sing ‘now, bring us...
And that verse ends ‘and a cup of good cheer’ and not my version ‘and bring it right here’
Very demanding those carrollers, they won’t go until they’ve got some, which is a problem as I have no idea what figgy pudding is.

Well, it's wrong, because my carol book circa 20+ years ago had 'and bring it right here'. So there!

It was printed, so it must have been right!
