It's 'he is' or 'he's' not fucking HIS!!

Does this drive anyone else mad? More and more recently I'm seeing people write 'his' instead of 'he's' or 'he is'. Why?? For example "His going to the shop soon." It's not interchangeable with them so stop doing it!!

There used to be a troll on the relationships board who always wrote “his” instead of “he is”. Not spotted them for a while..

No I see it on Facebook all the time. In young children I would understand but this is all adults!

I see it far too often and from too many different people for it to be a typo.

The thing is with chocking for choking is that I don't even understand how it happens!!

And I do see he's for his a lot to. Eg:

I live in the West country so appreciate that there are some heavy accents going on down here but there's no excuse for spelling "turned" as "turnt".

My theory on the matter is that people just aren't reading enough to learn/improve/vary their vocabulary these days. My sister is 10 years younger than I am and the only reading she does outside of studying purposes is (increasingly poorly written) things on various social media platforms.

My DS's friend's mum always puts 'he's' instead of 'his' - she'll even use the correct and incorrect versions in the same sentence: 'He's at he's dad's this weekend'. Irritates me no end!

"He was been" = he was being
I brought it from the shop... when they mean "bought" (otherwise that would be stealing)

I have friends from the west midlands who use "we was" or "I weren't"... Wonder if this is a dialect thing because they are both very intelligent with degrees and proper jobs! They must know!

Various incorrect uses of their and your should be a criminal offence also.

The two that annoy me are “loose” used in place of “lose” - eg “I might loose my job” and “of” used instead of ”have ” - eg “I could of gone”. Both seem to be increasing online, even on MN.

Actually I think the worst one I've seen was a screenshot my friend sent me of a sofa for freein her local Facebook selling group.
