Me and DH are on a healthy eating kick!

As part of this, we want to have an indulgent box of chocolates to eat just one of and thoroughly enjoy when we are in the mood (as opposed to scarfing a kilo of dairy milk cause we are bored or tired grin )

Don't mind spending a bit more for a delicious gift style box, as long as it's really worth it! Say £8-£15?

Something that lends itself to just having one, would be good!

What have been your favourite ever delicious chocolates?

Not quite a fancy box, but these chocolate buttons are amazing. Ignore the baking part, they’re button shaped so easy for melting if you did want to bake with them. it’s to die for.

The brand is Original Beans and you can buy it in bars too fron some online places:

Hotel chocolat!

yawning801 Thu 14-Jun-18 17:41:57

Not Hotel Chocolat. They taste like plastic.

The best chocolate I've had recently was from a little local business in the Cotswolds so I can't help you there... what about Segsations?

Lindt chocolate. Nice ball of smooth chocolate individually wrapped.

I like Booja-booja, especially the Ecuadorian truffles.

WellTidy Thu 14-Jun-18 18:37:23

Prestat the jewel box is my very favourite and although at the top of your budget, you won’t regret it. Wonderful presentation, and every chocolate os lovely.

I also like charbonnel et walker very much. Again, within budget, a bit cheaper than Prestat, they ar3 gorgeous.

But if you are by any chance interested in pink champagne truffles, the box from m and s for about £5-6 is just as good as charbonnel et Walker, and half the price.

Definitely not hotel chocolate. Most disappointing chocolate I ever had.

MikeWyzowski Thu 14-Jun-18 18:54:43

I gave up sugar for January and have kept it up (but only kind of) and Lindt dark mint intense is my treat. It used to be a whole square now a half square satisfies the craving. (When it doesn't, I have a rice cake with peanut butter and a scraping of dark chocolate spread. Once I'd have scoffed half a jar of each on toast but now one rice cake and less than a teaspoon of chocolate spread feels like an indulgent treat.) Delicious.

Leonidas. No contest. You'll pay a bit more than £15 though.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar Thu 14-Jun-18 19:50:14

I agree that most of Hotel Chocolat is not good, but I do like their 90% dark bars.

Ihearafanfare Thu 14-Jun-18 19:52:21

£8-15 is a pretty cheap box of chocolates. If you want something good spend a little more and go for Prestat or even Rococo

And please don’t use the work Naice it’s so snidey!

Hotel chocolat is waxy and disgusting.

Chocolate quality in the U.K. is gradually being eroded so I’m interested to see what answers you get.

I like Neuhaus bit not sure how readily available it is here.

CrazyDuchess Thu 14-Jun-18 19:57:58

Monty Bojangles chocolate..... Ah-May-Zing

HermioneWeasley Thu 14-Jun-18 19:59:27

Leonidas is my favourite

aldi dark chocolate. it's seriously good unfortunately
do you like marzipan? if so niederegger is heaven.

PickleSarnie Thu 14-Jun-18 20:01:18

Paul A Young if you're in London. All his chocolates are gorgeous. Some are totally random. His salted caramels are probably the most amazing things I have ever tasted.
