What is it? Why do I get it? How do I stop getting it?

Sick of rinsing all my dishes. That's what the dishwasher is supposed to do.

Have you cleaned the filters and the spray arms?

You need to clean the filter and arms, and run some dishwasher cleaner though it.

Switch to gel capsules instead of tablets, if you haven't already. My grit/sand cleared up the same day I did that.

What is it though? Anyone know?

I cleaned the filter but didn't think of the arms. Will give that a shot.

My 10yo basic Bosch started leaving nasty sand and deposits on glasses when I hadn’t done a deep cleansing cycle for a while, just those “use during an ordinary cycle” cleaning pods.
The machine doesn’t really owe me anything so before I started looking at newer models I did a hot empty wash with a cupful of citric acid powder (Wilco? Mine were from a hard discount supermarket here in Italy). It’s been back to normal for ten days now. Fingers crossed...
