Is Meghan being guided correctly, as bare shoulders at such a public event I would of thought would be a no no

I really do like her. However again I just dont think she has got it right with the outfit with the bare shoulders. I would if thought she would of been guided on what is appropriate perhaps bare shoulders is though

What? Link?

She's due off in the Royal Train with HMQ layer this week. Plenty of chance to be mentored then.

If we see daytime shoulders again, after that, then we'll know that times have moved on in the respect.

Well quite.

If we were talking 100 years ago.

kaytee87 Sat 09-Jun-18 12:46:33

Maybe she's not interested in being guided. Now the Cambridge's have 3 kids Harry & Meghan are way down the pecking order so can have a bit more freedom?

RoseAndRose Sat 09-Jun-18 12:47:17

It's wide boat neckline on the dress she wore for Trooping The Colour.

ZibbidooZibbidooZibbidoo Sat 09-Jun-18 12:49:35

Oh that’s a lovely dress.

ChocAuVin Sat 09-Jun-18 12:49:51

I would have thought confounding ‘would of’ with ‘would have’ was more of a public no-no, so it just goes to show there are all sorts of folk in the world who care about different things.

I’m a bit of a pedant, whereas the OP has a touch of ‘social mores-policing busybody.’

Ain’t life strange?

She's a 36 year old woman. If she wants to wear an off the shoulder dress than go for it. She's hardly running round with her baps out is she. And it's 2018 not 1818.

mostdays Sat 09-Jun-18 12:53:11

Why on earth would it be a "no no"? Who is so petty as to care?

wowfudge Sat 09-Jun-18 12:53:20

Megan gets criticised for the neckline on her dress being too revealing. Kate gets criticised for dressing too conservatively. I do wish they could just be left alone.

AnneLovesGilbert Sat 09-Jun-18 12:53:30

Bare shoulders? In public? Fucking hell. What was the woman thinking putting on a nice outfit and leaving the house hmm

Parker231 Sat 09-Jun-18 12:53:39

It’s a nice dress. I don’t think an adult needs guidance as to what to dress herself in.

RusholmeRuffian Sat 09-Jun-18 12:54:11

Are you visiting us from Victorian times?

welshmist Sat 09-Jun-18 12:54:37

She looks lovely, Diana wore stunning clothes. Kate is so middle aged, I wondered if she will look back in regret and think "If you`ve got it flaunt it". If you look at the Queen when she was young she wore some stunning foxy clothes.

4n20Blackbirds Sat 09-Jun-18 12:55:19

"guided correctly"?

Like someone isn't doing it right? As if hmm

kalinkafoxtrot45 Sat 09-Jun-18 12:55:45

She’ll be flaunting her ankles next, the shameless hussy.

mimibunz Sat 09-Jun-18 12:55:55

ChocAuVin Preach!

SenecaFalls Sat 09-Jun-18 12:56:19

Good heavens. Where are my smelling salts? Or my pearls to clutch? Next thing you know, she will be showing a bit of ankle. Or knee. shock

Gramgram Sat 09-Jun-18 12:56:46

It'll give the newspapers something to discuss rather than womb watch.

Lottapianos Sat 09-Jun-18 12:56:55

She looks amazing. She seems to love that peach colour and it's gorgeous on her

SoupDragon Sat 09-Jun-18 12:59:29

Now the Cambridge's have 3 kids Harry & Meghan are way down the pecking order

They aren’t really. As the Cambridges often travel together, Harry is only one crash from the direct line of succession.

Nothing wrong withMeghans dress anyway.

MissMary0fSweden Sat 09-Jun-18 12:59:56

Guided by what- the spirits?

Give over.

franke Sat 09-Jun-18 13:01:22

It's the queen's birthday, not remembrance Sunday. She looks lovely. I'm more concerned that she'll get bored to tears of all this hat and frock, horse and carriage nonsense but have to assume she knew what she was getting into.

StealthPolarBear Sat 09-Jun-18 13:03:07

Sle always look amazing. Id love to look like her
