Saw this property online and thought bargain! Until I looked at the pictures.
The toilet in particular shock

Well, to be fair, they say it’s a project. Is it really in a good area? If so, if you’re good at that sort of thing or know decent builders and can budget extra in to turn it into a fabulous home then go for it and good luck 😉

And we spent all that time and effort tidying when they came to take the house photos. Who knew it was unnecessary?

It says "This property is ONLY available for purchasers who are NOT in a chain". I bet it's been repossessed as that's what they usually say.

Lucked Sat 26-May-18 17:36:07

OMG the toilet is overflowing with shit!

AsAProfessionalFekko Sat 26-May-18 17:38:13

Owwww looks like they did a flit. That's rather sad.

SleepingStandingUp Sat 26-May-18 17:39:04

No the lid is down and it has a weird pattern on it. Zoom in and theres clearly the toilet seat and the toilet lid

AsAProfessionalFekko Sat 26-May-18 17:39:25

Oh and if there's a fridge or freezer in there... DONT OPEN IT FOR GOD'S SAKE!

BarbaraofSevillle Sat 26-May-18 17:39:55

I think from looking at Streetview, that it's number 23 and there's nothing in the sold prices data to indicate that it's been sold in since about 1996, which suggests that the owner must have paid buttons for it, so probably not a repossession?

Probably been rented out for years and the last tenants did a moonlight flit or were evicted and the owner has decided to get rid?

Mooneyes Sat 26-May-18 17:43:16

They've definitely done a flit. I've seen a few repossessed houses and they were exactly like this and also they wanted buyers who weren't in a chain. House is a bit of a shit tip, but it could mostly be cosmetic, and repossessions are often sold cheap for what you get. My in laws got a house for 60k that had been sold two years before for 100k

AsAProfessionalFekko Sat 26-May-18 17:45:36

I'm guessing it was rented as if it was an owner they would have taken/sold anything that wasn't screwed down. We saw one place that was a repossession and they had taken the entire kitchen - only the floor was left.

MotherOfMinions Sat 26-May-18 20:59:55

Looks like it was rented out to students

GreyGardens88 Sat 26-May-18 21:02:52

Not for me!

witchofzog Sat 26-May-18 22:09:50

Phew not shit then. I can see it's a pattern now but I thought it was shit tooconfused

It is actually in a really nice part of Sheffield so a bargain and a half really

Maelstrop Sat 26-May-18 22:43:19

Blimey, you’d pay £125 grand more for the same round my way!

Glitteryfrog Sat 26-May-18 22:47:07

It's really not that bad.
A few skips to get rid of the furniture, new bathroom and kitchen and redecorate.
You could do that for £15k?

MeanTangerine Sat 26-May-18 22:53:46

Not sure it was a student let, between the bunk beds and the little kiddie bike sad

BackforGood Sat 26-May-18 23:15:09

Even if you paid for a professional clean type team, you'd have money in the bank to do that I presume (not being that familiar with prices in the area). Just needs someone to look past the mess and see the actual house.
