Would you eat a quiche that has been left out overnight?

Covered by a plate. I'm not an animal! TIA

Probably not as dairy can attract a lot of bad bacteria when kept out the fridge for too long. I think I’m just overly cautious though as I’ve had some chronic food poisoning episodes throughout my life. If the room was very cool overnight with no heating on then it could possibly be ok

I would. I'd heat it to piping hot first though.

Yes. The heating isn't on at night so it would stay pretty cool.

Mrscog Thu 22-Mar-18 11:33:08

Yeah definitely.

Have taken a tentative bite . . . just to see what happens . . .

Purplerain101 Thu 22-Mar-18 11:34:08

Are you having it cold or heating it in the oven?

thefudgeling Thu 22-Mar-18 11:34:10

It is a REALLY nice quiche (made by MIL).

Crispbutty Thu 22-Mar-18 11:34:31

Yes if it was left covered in a cool place it will be fine.

thefudgeling Thu 22-Mar-18 11:34:37

I will heat it up if mumsnet tells me to.

Gottokondo Thu 22-Mar-18 11:40:17

Since a quiche is made with eggs I wouldn't. I wouldn't eat an omelet that hasn't been chilled overnight so I wouldn't eat a quiche.

GlitterRollerSkate Thu 22-Mar-18 11:42:22

Yes I would... currently reheating lastnights dinner that was left in a cold oven all night and some of today.

BevBrook Thu 22-Mar-18 11:42:28

If it had been in a heated room, or it was summer, I probably wouldn't. If it had been in an unheated room in this weather, I would.

Yes, but my house is freezing.

Summerfalls Thu 22-Mar-18 11:47:53

Yes I would for myself but I wouldn’t feed anyone else it. Not advising you should btw.. but it is something I have and would do blush

God, in Spain, if you keep you tortilla de patatas in the fridge overnight it's sacrilege and nobody has died yet.
My SIL forbid me to put it in the fridge, you'll be fine!

macnab Thu 22-Mar-18 11:51:25

Yes, unless we're in the middle of a heatwave!

Hope you enjoyed it OP smile

Tortycat Thu 22-Mar-18 11:52:53

Yes wouldn't give it a second thought. Hope it was tasty

EduCated Thu 22-Mar-18 12:01:50

Yes, though our kitchen is particularly cold!
