The little girl that was missing in the car. I have done a search and can't find a thread. Can't believe the bastatf that stole the car drove it into a river. I really hope.the girl survives.

I just can't imagine who would do such an evil thing.

The poor little girl must have been terrified.

I hope that she makes a full recovery.

It's possible to read between the lines in that BBC report.

TheFirstMrsDV Mon 19-Mar-18 21:43:40

That BBC report is being very cagey about the reported theft. Hopefully just because its a breaking story.

I hope that little girl is ok. What a terrible thing to happen. Bless her.

CaffeineAndCrochet Mon 19-Mar-18 21:46:48

If they're still searching the water, sounds like they're looking for the person who took the car?

Remotedog Mon 19-Mar-18 21:54:28

It's not clear that the car was actually stolen. There was an early report that said the car had accidentally rolled into the river whilst the driver wasn't around and she returned to find the car gone and automatically assumed it was stolen. Not sure how true that is.

MrsJoshDun Mon 19-Mar-18 21:58:20

How long was the girl underwater for? Sounds like it was some time before the car was found? Isn’t there something about kids can go into some sort of hibernation state under water if it’s cold enough and survive?

Seafoodeatit Mon 19-Mar-18 22:10:31

That poor girl, I hope she has a full recovery, what a horrifyingly traumatic thing to go through.

Seafoodeatit Mon 19-Mar-18 22:11:42

MrsJoshDun the bbc article says it was a 2 hour search, they probably don't know yet when it entered the water/how long it was under.

Remotedog Mon 19-Mar-18 22:12:04

Looking at the street view for where the car was meant to be parked (scout hall) there's a direct line down to river from there. It could well have been that the car had rolled with her in it bless her. Just hoping she'll be ok

Poor wee mite, hope she is ok.

Frillyhorseyknickers Mon 19-Mar-18 22:31:26

Oh god really really hope the little girl is ok - it makes my blood run cold how many people still leave their children in the car when they go shopping/fuel etc

scurryfunge Mon 19-Mar-18 22:46:26

Hope the little one is ok. This will be a domestic incident.

Remotedog Mon 19-Mar-18 22:49:40

Indeed, the little one has passed away ( I'm friend of a friend with the dad) it does sound as though it was simply that the car had rolled down from where it was parked with the child inside and they assumed it was stolen. So sad, bless her little heart.

Noeuf Mon 19-Mar-18 22:55:41

Oh no that's so sad. Poor poor little thing.

That poor little girl. How dreadful whatever the circumstances of the car ending up in the water. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/mar/20/girl-dies-wales-missing-car-river-teifi-cardigan
