Wedding rings on at home?

I was surprised to find out that my friend takes off her engagement ring as soon as she gets home but leaves her wedding ring on. Another takes both off, I leave mine on unless I'm in the shower then they go straight back on. What do most people do?

I take all my jewellery apart from my wedding ring off as soon as I get home. My engagement ring is pretty big so I like to give my finger a break!

Hubby only ever wears his when we go out. He cannot wear it for work as it could be dangerous and obviously doesn't put it on when he gets home.

Don't think there is anything strange in what we do.

I don't wear mine at all. DH wears his when he's travelling for work but removes it when he gets home.

DH wears his all the time, I only wear mine to go out, but I have a baby who is very active and I don’t want to catch him with them.

My wedding ring never comes off. I only wear my engagement ring when I'm not at work as it often catches on things.

Both my rings get taken off at bed time, I put them back on first thing.
They then get taken off for washing up, showers, bathing dd.

DH doesn't wear his for work but puts his wedding ring on when he gets home, and he wears it all weekend.

I don't change my jewellery at all

I wear both all the time. Assumed everyone did. Every day's a school day.

I don't take my rings off at all, never have.

Arapaima Sun 18-Mar-18 16:57:10

My rings never come off.

My fingers are fat atm so I can't take either off. More generally I only take them off for dirty jobs like oven cleaning. I'd be tempted to take them off for swimming if they were loose.

At home, just wedding ring.

TittyGolightly Sun 18-Mar-18 16:57:48

I wear mine once or twice a year.

I only put mine on to go out. Usually off indoors. Same for all jewellery really.

MrsHathaway Sun 18-Mar-18 16:59:03

DH wears his all day and all night but always removes when washing.

My wedding ring stays on but my engagement ring is usually off at home as it is quite spiky and I worry about scratching my toddler with it.

Don't wear mine for work or in the house. Do for shopping /going out. After 3 years they are both still very sparkly!!

dementedpixie Sun 18-Mar-18 17:01:11

My wedding ring is on all the time, even when getting washed. Think dh takes his off to wash

Heismyopendoor Sun 18-Mar-18 17:01:15

I take both mine off at home.

MagicFajita Sun 18-Mar-18 17:01:38

We both take ours off when at home. Neither of us are massively into jewellery and get uncomfortable if we keep them on.

Spenlo Sun 18-Mar-18 17:02:34

Only wear it on special occasions (dh too) never wear them just at home.

fairiedemon Sun 18-Mar-18 17:02:39

I wear mine whenever I remember. If I do remember they definitely come off in the house as don’t want to damage them with cleaning products etc.

Don't have a wedding ring - but my engagement ring hasn't been off since I got it 22 years ago

gingercat02 Sun 18-Mar-18 17:04:42

I can only wear my wedding ring at work (NHS) but I put my engagement ring and my Aunts engagement ring on as soon as I get home. Take them all off to sleep

Strax Sun 18-Mar-18 17:04:51

I don't wear mine any more but when I did I'd leave them on all the time except for doing something messy (like making dough/decorating cakes etc). When my kids were small babies I only used to wear my wedding ring as i worried about scratching them with the diamond on the engagement ring.
Should probably try and find them at some point, just realised I've no idea where I put them...!
