I've recently got a sample of Shay and Blue, Black Tulip - it's heavenly! Definitely going to order some more samples

Out of the blue DH bought me a bottle of Gardenia perfume "because you mentioned it was a line in a Roxy Music song". Error yes, at least 25 years ago!! Anyways it is a slightly strange smell, is Gardenia - but because he took the trouble, i wear it when out of the house when only going to the shops type thing.
On the tram the other day, standing as usual, a woman behind me tapped me on the shoulder, said hope you don't mind but what is the name of your perfume? Told the smell was Gardenia, manufacturer unknown.

Jo Loves Gardenia

I got the Shay and Blue one this morning! I can't decide if I really like it or if it makes me smell like an old lady once it settles. I will wear it tomorrow and see.
Other than that I wear Alien, since it came out. It's my absolute favourite.

Chanel Chance and Paul Smith Rose. I love rose perfume it reminds me of my grandma but I've been wearing it from my mid 20s.

Chance is much more robust. Totally different, more robust, but I love that one too.

I really like Gucci Bamboo at the moment.

Another Rose by Paul Smith fan here, it is beautiful. I get so many compliments when I wear it .

J'Adore by Dior - gets lots of compliments and isn't the heavy, strong scent I thought it would be!
I've just got Reve d'infini by Lalique which I really like too.

Chanel also have a Gardenia in their Exclusifs range.

What was the last perfume you loved OP? Do you like modern, fruity ones, single flower scents (like the JMs) classics? Masculine? Citrus? Vanilla?

fantasmasgoria1 Tue 13-Mar-18 18:51:28

White diamonds
Most dkny

Fosterdog123 Tue 13-Mar-18 18:53:32

I love Boudoir too.

Take thyself off to a posh perfume shop though and try out all the expensive ones that you'd never see in Boots or Debenhams. You will end up a lot poorer but once you smell the difference, I'm afraid there's no going back!

ShitUsername Tue 13-Mar-18 18:56:29

YSL Black Opium and Mon Paris
Armani She
Viktor & Rolf - Bon Bon

Juliette Has A Gun - Lady Vengeance. Amazing, but pricy. Got it in a sale, and wished I'd bought several bottles.....

SandysMam Tue 13-Mar-18 20:00:54

Molecule 02, you can never smell it on yourself but on others it is an addictive, sexy smell. I get so many compliments when I wear it, but not “your perfume smells nice” just “you smell nice” like it is my pheromones or something. Grrrrrr (sexy tiger grrrr not cross grrrrr)!!

ItsASairFecht Tue 13-Mar-18 20:13:14

Angel Eau Sucree by Mugler. Always get compliments with that one.

maddiemookins16mum Tue 13-Mar-18 20:27:25

I used to love perfume, never wear it now.
