Up early- jumped up to get myself a coffee and then back to bed. Not quite light yet and very frosty so will have to scrape the car. OH and I will get to the supermarket and do a quick shop at 8am, sneaky ( kids will still be asleep) Ikea for breakfast at 9am, than back in time to give my mother a lift to church.
I have to work ( from home) for a few hours today, while OH will cook a Sunday roast.
What is everyone else up to?

DH is taking the boys to watch remote control motor racing somewhere local. Vi have an assignment to write. There will be takeaway later I expect.

Having coffee in bed, DS2's standing at the window for WiFi, DD's still asleep. We're going to a Tolkien Society thing at a Wetherspoon's pub later.

I'll be busy dying and so will DP. I was maid of honour for my best friend yesterday and we both got very pissed! Stayed at mums so hoping she might take pity on us and bring bacon sandwiches... unlikely considered we woke the whole house crashing around at 2am but I'm hopeful still 😂

Working 8-6pm. I'm a nurse specialist on call today. Quite like weekends as you
never know who you'll get called out to. Dd flew to the states yesterday with school and Ds will has football but will then spend the day glued to his xbox!

Woke up at the cracks of dawn. Did some reading and laundry. Taking Dd swimming with mates later. I'm toying either the idea of a fry up!!

Lazy ish morning - nice breakfast and a bit of housework. Off to friends early afternoon for some grub and plenty of booze. Back to the grind tomorrow after a week off.

Taking the dc and a friend to a film I think.

I've just come downstairs to make a cup of tea after waking up slowly and listening to all the birds make a racket this morning. Dd's had their cousin stay over last night so they've just all come downstairs to play. I'm hoping we get to have some time to maybe walk round the Zoo later (we have a membership) It's been dd1's birthday this week and we've spent a lot of time indoors.

Boredboredboredboredbored hats off to you.

My DD is in her final year at school and will be starting a nursing degree at University hopefully after the summer. She has wanted to be a nurse since she was 5 years old so she and us are so excited. She has been offered interviews at 4 Universities ( 2 down 2 to go) so fingers crossed this may actually be happening. I know it's a tough- and unrecognised- vocation, but she wants to do it so badly, she is up for the challenge.

Best wishes in your day.

Supermarket shop, washing bedding and batch cooking.

Ds has swimming training later so I'll sit at pool reading for a few hours!

LanguidLobster Sun 18-Feb-18 07:47:33

First things first: nice breakfast out at 8.30am, then after that I'll play it by ear

CaptainBrickbeard Sun 18-Feb-18 07:48:24

I just got up and wrote a list of things I need to do over half term and when I can do them. Really need to do housework today and really don’t want to! DS has just got up and asked if we can go to the seaside and I’m really tempted to leave the chores and go blow away the cobwebs on a windy, grey British beach instead!

ScouseQueen Sun 18-Feb-18 07:54:07

Going to DS's sports thing this morning, then no real plans but need to get ready for back to school - it's end of half term here. I still haven't washed the PE kit that was brought home. blush

Autumnchill Sun 18-Feb-18 07:55:58

Husband is completing his degree while I clear out the living room ready for decorating.

CustardOmlet Sun 18-Feb-18 07:56:49

Speakout I am a practice based teacher for student nurses. It is a very hard course, but so worth it when you get your PIN it’s an amazing feeling. Tell her to stick at the tough times and she will get there.

It’s the last day of half term, DS1 has rugby training this morning and if the rain holds off we are going out on the bikes this afternoon. DS2 has not been on the back of our bike yet so looking forward to it.

We are going into Liverpool to enjoy some of the Chinese New Year celebrations.

JMAngel1 Sun 18-Feb-18 08:00:50

Taking DDs into town for Chinese New Year Parade - loads of house jobs before and after - I must get up!

LanguidLobster Sun 18-Feb-18 08:00:52

Bluebeard I'm on the seafront - it does look a bit cold and grey outside however!!

How long would it take you to get there? Perhaps you could combine a trip with (minimal) household chores built in.

I have to do a full cat litter train later, time for marigold gloves and a nosepeg sad

afreshnewname Sun 18-Feb-18 08:03:24

What supermarket do you go to that's open at 8 on a Sunday?

speakout Sun 18-Feb-18 08:03:53

CustardOmlet how amazing. I have no doubts about my daughter. She has the most amazing grit, but incredibly empathic too. She can really push her shoulder to the wheel. She recognises her weaknesses but turns them to strengths. She has overcome personal difficulties and reaches out to others.
CustardOmlet you do an amazing job.

speakout Sun 18-Feb-18 08:04:55

afreshnewname ASDA.

All supermarkets are open 24/7 here.

NoIdeaWhatToSay Sun 18-Feb-18 08:06:28

Still deciding, I've got so much laundry to do and the house could do with a sort out. On the other hand it's looking like a nice bright morning and the DCs are at a birthday party later so a walk would be a good idea. Right now they're watching Peppa Pig, it's making me restless.

JudgeRulesNutterButter Sun 18-Feb-18 08:09:29

DH is playing tennis later. The DC and I are planning to potter around and have a fairly lazy day. I want to do some tidying and clearing up but I’m not going to work too hard- saving that for when DC1 is back at school tomorrow!
