DH and I are hone alone for mist of Christmas ...can anyone recommend any card / board games for 2 players. I fancied Cards Against Humanity but it's a 4 player minimum. We already have Dobble, Ticket to Ride and Connect 4 (and a million others!)

That new rubiks race looks good. I have bought DD it for xmas. I am looking forwards to playing it.

Rummikub is quite popular and can be played with two players. Mastermind is an old game and that's only for two players. Not sure if it's still being made though. Bezique is a good card game for two players but not played it for years.

@Viviennemary mastermind is still being made - the one when you need to guess the colour code?
Yes we have that, bought it last year.
Op it is a good game!

I second rummikub. It's an excellent game
We also like Othello, Uno and labyrinth. All are ok for 2 players

That's the one with the coloured pegs. I thought it would be a collectors item by now. grin

Carcassone is our favourite, followed closely by Risk and Scrabble.

Jaipur is a favourite of ours - easy to learn and not too long to play
