... WTF do you buy for your future GMIL, the Queen?!

(Lighthearted in case anyone is in any doubt)

Suits boxset

🤣🤣 😂

Obvious now you mention it

Kate famously made home made chutney, which was ingenious. Major brownie points for effort and no chance of looking shallow.

Maybe Megan could crochet a nice tea cosy.

Nacknick Sat 16-Dec-17 14:39:25

It's probably going to be something traditional from America, but no idea what!

Andrewofgg Sat 16-Dec-17 14:40:17

How about the tea cosy looks like a Corgi?

Nacknick Sat 16-Dec-17 14:40:56

Yes I was thinking about the chutney, do you think she actually made it herself, or just 'oversaw' the making...?

ElspethFlashman Sat 16-Dec-17 14:42:05

Ooh nice, it'd win me over anyway!

Nacknick Sat 16-Dec-17 14:44:35

Ooh, ooh! How about this??

Lindibop Sat 16-Dec-17 14:47:19

She has. She also likes getting a pinny in amongst the very ordinary and down to Earth Christmas presents they give each other.

The Queen’s very familiar with washing the dishes.

A Donald Trump darts board - his picture on the board and Hillary Clinton darts.

Viviennemary Sat 16-Dec-17 14:51:23

A rendering of Donald Trump singing 'America the Beautiful'. I'm not really a royalist. I also read she got a pinny from somebody and loved it. Perhaps a pair of oven gloves. Tartan ones and she could keep them at Balmoral.

Andrewofgg Sat 16-Dec-17 14:54:27

Just as long as she does not fuck up like Obama when he gave Gordon Brown some DVDs. Region One and you could not then (legally) get multi-region DVD players!

Diamond pooper scoop

thatstoast Sat 16-Dec-17 15:03:14

Bumper set of Tupperware. Shotgun. Nandos Voucher.

WitchesHatRim Sat 16-Dec-17 15:04:49

The royals only do small and usually silly presents apparently.

crunchymint Sat 16-Dec-17 15:09:47

A blow up crown

Jaxhog Sat 16-Dec-17 15:10:20

A 3D Corgie card, or personalised Tupperware. Anything with a Horse on it.

BlazingPaddles Sat 16-Dec-17 15:10:52

I'd ring in sick and hotfoot it back to California.

SchadenfreudePersonified Sat 16-Dec-17 15:12:11

I thought that was a fox Elspeth. But even so I'm sure she'd like it - she could dip it in aniseed and have a drag hut with it,

If I was being for Our Dear Queen I'd get her a gift box set of Guinness From Around The World.

I don't know if this is actually a "thing", but I think if you explained who it was for they'd make a hamper up for you.

Probably throw in a bag of fox pork scratchings as well. grin

SchadenfreudePersonified Sat 16-Dec-17 15:12:24

*buying, not being

maygirl27 Sat 16-Dec-17 15:12:28

A reindeer onesie and novelty slippers? I can really see Philip going for that...
