What things signify Christmas for you?

For me, its not Christmas without

*DP and me watching endless, perplexing Strong Man competitions

*Watching Bad Santa on Xmas Eve

*Buying a bottle of mulled wine purely to put in the slow cooker to make the house smell festive

*My sister hogging the tv remote and mot letting anyone else get a look in

*Christmas sandwiches and cheeeese!

A tin of Quality Street - a proper tin, mind, not a plastic tub. The lid makes a particularly distinctive clattery noise and the wrappers have a particular smell and squeak.
