Do pink marshmallows taste different to white ones?

I think they do but I also think my mind is tricking me.

I mean in bog standard marshmallows, nice soft own brand ones from Sainsbury's and Tesco.

I don't think so but then again all I taste is ultra sweet gunk.

It's a shame because I love the smell and the texture, but even as a child I couldn't stand the taste fsad

You need to do blind tastings, with a large quantity of marshmallows and a note-taker.

Figgygal Wed 13-Dec-17 21:56:36

I think so
I don't like the pink ones

MonaChopsis Wed 13-Dec-17 21:56:41

I think they do, but very subtle... But I'm sure I'd be able to tell the difference if you gave me one of each!

MumGoneMild Wed 13-Dec-17 21:57:25

Yes, different shapes and brands. For science.

This is a good idea. I'm happy to suffer a sugar coma for science.

THry do. Definitely.

I think yes (pink ones are nicer). I am prepared to blind test for you if needed <selfless devotion to The Truth>

The waitrose ones say that they are raspberry and vanilla, but it must be very subtle as I can't tell the difference.

yourhavingagiraffee Wed 13-Dec-17 22:01:20

I think they do.

MexicanBob Wed 13-Dec-17 22:13:23

No. They are both vile. HTH.

Mrsfluff Wed 13-Dec-17 22:16:03

They do taste differently. The white ones are my faves!

7ways Wed 13-Dec-17 22:20:34

They definitely taste different!

I will do a blind test and publish my results. They might need to be peer reviewed, though.

thefutureisours Thu 14-Dec-17 09:20:00

Yes. The white ones are much nicer!

RestingGrinchFace Thu 14-Dec-17 09:20:54

Yes. Definitely.

We did do blind taste tests at home (but not on Waitrose ones) and there was no difference in the taste according to our (extremely scientific) tests.

stickytoffeevodka Thu 14-Dec-17 09:39:49

Mhmm, definitely. I prefer the white ones.

Maudlinmaud Thu 14-Dec-17 09:44:23

Princess marshmallow's are the best, although can't compare them to waitrose as we don't have a store here. I do think the pink ones taste different. My god they are my favourite sweets of all time.

Zaphodsotherhead Thu 14-Dec-17 09:46:14

Oooh oooh, I'll peer review you!

mummyhaschangedhername Thu 14-Dec-17 13:24:08

Yes, they definitely do taste different. I only like the white ones.

HermionesRightHook Thu 14-Dec-17 13:27:06

Yes, total fact. They taste pink. HTH.
