I'm taking my great aunt to see DD dance tomorrow

I need to take her for something to eat about 3:30/4ish

In Portsmouth would be nice, near Portsmouth would be OK

SOmething a bit posh....any ideas?

Pie and Vinyl? Perhaps not posh, but a bit quaint and quirky.

Dh would love that & DD would be in her element; but I can't see a 96yo going for it (or at least my 96yo. the sister of my grandma)

But I will be telling DD about it - she will love it!

Sorry I forgot to say thanks smile

Parade Tea Rooms and The 10th Hole both do a lovely afternoon tea and are both nice venues but not post posh IYKWIM? The Queens Hotel?

AWhistlingWoman Wed 13-Dec-17 13:45:56

I came on to suggest The Tenth Hole. Not posh but very yummy!

Lavender Tearooms in Havant?
There's a Patisserie Valerie in Gunwharf

Both Parade and the tenth hole look great, possibly the teth hole will be slightly more her

Or possibly the Queens hotel

Are any of them particularly good/bad for parking?

Tenth Hole!

katymac Wed 13-Dec-17 13:55:16

The queens hotel has parking & is expensive but that might be the easiest

ohlittlepea Wed 13-Dec-17 13:56:02

The tenth hole is legendary but tends to get very busy. Queens hotel probably better for a 96 year old xxx

katymac Wed 13-Dec-17 13:56:17

Tenthhole seems popular wink - is there parking there?

katymac Wed 13-Dec-17 13:57:12

Sorry Howyoualldoworkme - I already have too many choices

I am leaning towards the Queens hotel

Oogle Wed 13-Dec-17 13:59:19

The Spinnaker Tower do an afternoon tea. Tenth hole v.good but not posh. Queens hotel is meant to be very nice too.
Otherwise you're looking out of the city - Langstone hotel, Lily's in Wickham, 19 Fourteas in Havant.

SorrelForbes Wed 13-Dec-17 13:59:28

Parking is OK for all of them really. I'd say that the Parade Tea Rooms is a bit 'nicer' inside than the 10th hole.
