Went to get some christmas booze today including ameretto. Am so very tempted to pour myself a large one now kids are in bed.....mmmm should I, shouldnt I?

Am not a big drinker really only have a few on special occasions so drinking on my own in the house feels odd. fblush

Definitely. Always. Once the kids are in bed anything goes; you've earned it.

I've got some in too but I'm trying to resist it until at least the Saturday before Christmas, its a proper Christmas drink to me along with Bailey's.

Do it. I got DS1 4 bottles of Harry Bromptons Alcoholic Iced tea for Christmas and wondering if he could just have 3 at the moment. grin

I had a Baileys coffee today. I wonder what coffee and Amaretto would taste like?

Yes. Currently eating my way through an entire Yule log.

It tastes like more, that's what.

MrsMotherHen Tue 12-Dec-17 19:08:56

Ameretto in coffee would taste beautiful!! 😍😍😍😍

Going to have a glass now hope we have some ice in the freezer!

Hassled Tue 12-Dec-17 19:10:53

Why wouldn't you open the Amaretto?
I've found some Drambuie I didn't know we had. It's a bit early for me but just knowing it's there has made me very happy.

Korez Tue 12-Dec-17 19:33:18

😭 jealous... have one for me... 🤰🏻

HemanOrSheRa Tue 12-Dec-17 19:42:18

I would like to say that Amaretto (Disarrono) and Baileys on the rocks is bloody marvellous grin. Also Amaretto in coffee or hot chocolate is GORGEOUS. Squirty cream and marshmallows in top. Not for me these days for many reasons but thought I would share for those with a fully operating 'STOP' switch grin.

MsHomeSlice Tue 12-Dec-17 19:44:38

Amaretto, in black coffee, float some double cream on the top and you have the BEST fancy coffee ever in the italiano classico

I may have to have one now

MrsMotherHen Tue 12-Dec-17 19:48:41

Deffo going to make boozey hot chocolates christmas eve!

SharkSkinThing Tue 12-Dec-17 19:53:02

Yes. Do it. I am desperate for a little nip of rum gifted by kindly neighbours for cat sitting, but am on day 14 of a booze detox.

But I'll join you on Saturday when I start the present wrapping marathon. Which demands a v large glass of something festive!

I've put a bottle of Kahlua on my Xmas list. Am I going to be disappointed?

DancingHouse Tue 12-Dec-17 19:58:03

Yes, Christmas is a season not a day so no need to save everything for the 25th

TheHauntedFishtank Tue 12-Dec-17 19:59:01

I’m getting through a bottle of Aldi cream liqueur a week just now. Now contemplating ordering a bottle of Arran Gold. It’s officially Christmas now as far as I’m concerned.

Tangfastics Tue 12-Dec-17 20:01:14

Have you not ever had an Affogato OP?

OMG, you've not lived!

CakeNinja Tue 12-Dec-17 20:03:35

Of course open it! I’ve nearly finished the bottle I got in for Christmas, in fact, you’ve inspired me to finish it grin

feska5 Tue 12-Dec-17 20:10:38

You are obviously embracing Christmas so why shouldn’t you have an amaretto! I put it in my mincemeat for mince pies. I also make a raspberry white choc trifle with amaretto in the sponge and an almond custard. Amaretto overload at Christmas. Cheers!

VivaLeBeaver Tue 12-Dec-17 20:15:37

I think I would like that trifle recipe please! Sounds lovely.
