We are having homemade pasties with mashed potato and honey carrots. DS asked for me to please not 'put the orange bits' in the pasty- i.e. the grated carrot so I am putting grated parsnip in instead. grin

I'm in the US and it's Thanksgiving. So turkey, ham, mashed potatoes/gravy, etc.
I'm not cooking, so I don't know exactly what the rest of the etc. will be.

DH has promised to make a minestrone which he does really well, and bought some fig and walnut bread to go with it.
DC have some beautiful cakes given to them by a friend of mine so they can have those for pudding.

Kjotsupa (Icelandic lamb soup). It will be the third day.
I had a big bag of lamb bones and needed the freezer space so made up the stock and then the soup to freeze again.
The first night DH and I had it.
Last night DC and DH had it.
Tonight DD and I will finish it....and none will make it back into the freezer. I am so bad at batch cooking!

I put a beef stew in the slow cooker at 7.30 this morning before I left for work. Im not entirely convinced that I turned it on but if I did, that'll be our dinner. Ill pick up some tiger bread on the way home to go with it.

We are having cod that I’ve topped with harissa and breadcrumb.
Still trying to work out what to do with it. Toss up between something salady or cous cous with roasted veg.

Sausage, mushroom & potato bake, cooked in gravy with veg. This makes an appearance on our dinner table fairly often, especially mid week! Good way to use up weekend roast leftovers.
